The room was absolutely filthy. We walked into a swarm of flies which was expected since there was visible dirt and food crumbs all over the floor, carpets, and bathroom was full of hair and dirt - the nightstand and counters were sticky with cup marks and whatever else. We cleaned the room ourself since reception was closed which took 3h - this costed us our first evening out, so we decided to just dine in and decompress finally - I open the drawers for utensils and flies came out filling the room AGAIN and ALL the utensils were caked In food and eggs. ALL the pots and pans caked. NOW we spent another hour cleaning the dishes before we could even start cooking. Ive stayed in many less expensive places, and NEVER experienced this before. If I was by myself, maybe it would be better. But this made my partner extremely angry and irritable with me all weekend... Something so small ruined my only vacation I get a year.
I love blue mountain but I feel really let down by this property.
