Pros: One thing I was extremely pleased with was the view from my room's window. In the morning I looked directly at the water. At night the view was lovely
Cons: The condition of the rooms could be a little better; 1. mop rooms with clean water and mop. Wash the basins inside the room, and clean the mirrors.
Location: Nearby is the Olympic Village with shops and restaurants, TELUS World of Science, Rogers Arena, and BC Stadium for soccer, football, and live concerts
My stay at the hotel was pleasant; the ladies in the room were respectful, the staff was helpful and accommodating, and the location was ideal. Originally, I wanted to be downtown but was happy I wasn't. The hotel is 2 blocks away from Historical Chinatown with all it's bright colors. Likewise, it was one block from the metro as well as the major bus and Amtrak train lines which take you to Seattle, USA. The hotel was located a short walk from Olympic Village with it's shops and restaurants, BC Arena where soccer, American/Canadian Football, and live concerts are held. Next to this is Rogers Arena, home of the NHL Vancouver Canucks. I was able to simply walk to these places from the hotel. When I was tired, I simply got on at the closest metro stop, and in no time was back at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a tight budget and more into the adventure that is Vancouver. Don't expect a 5star room when you haven't paid for it.

First time at a hostel

I was nervous about starting at a hostel, I'd heard a ton of horror stories, but I had no other option. Surprisingly, it was a nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I actually enjoyed my stay here. It was only $26 a night and the staff is really nice, the rooms weren't bad at all, and I would definitely go back. They have lockers that you can rent, I believe, if you're really afraid of your things being stolen. I just kept all my valuables with me in my purse, and left all my clothes at the room, and I had no issues with theft at all. It's not the nicest looking building but, for the price, it's a great deal! I'd definitely go back.

Pros: convenient location
Cons: get rid of the bedbugs!
The building itself was not bad, however the room had bedbugs, and I returned home with red, itchy welts all over my body. Not fun. Also, the man working there was really rude.

This hotel isn't hotel it's a squatter place, a place for the drunk, drugs, addict people and prostitute place only not for normal people, went and look inside and never stay seen so many guys walking inside scary people, We had to find another place to stay for the night, they charge me even I called them to cancel it before 4., they shouldn't charge me coz they can easily sell the room. Please don't stay at this hotel it's very scary place, very dirty and so noisy.

good hostel in good location by train/bus station

Pros: Great Location, good customer service at front desk and free desktop computer near front desk made it easy to check e-mail/social media.
Cons: 1 of the showers had lukewarm water (another guest told me the other shower worked better)
Location: Near bus/train station, bus to Stanley Park, bars, restaurants. Good place to stay for concert/game at Rogers Arena/ BC Place-a 7 to 10 minute walk
A good hostel at a good price located right by Vancouver's main train/bus terminal and a Skytrain subway station. Bed was comfortable and front service person (I believe his name was Mike-he wears a Denver Broncos hat) was friendly, nice and helpful-he let me check in early and showed me where the 19 bus to Stanley Park is at (quick ride to Stanley Park-) in the front of hostel.

Pros: Close to transport. Nice staff.
Cons: The bathroom needs updating. And more privacy in the ladies one.
Location: So close to transport .
A nice place near to the Main Railway station. Close to the Sky train. Bus, come pass so a day pass on transport was good. Good eating places close by.

Marketing Misrepresentation & False Advertising

Pros: I met a couple interesting fellows sharing the same room, one from Poland and one from Shanghai.
Cons: The culture should be more friendly and helping.
Location: This is a rough neighborhood. Gastown and Chinatown are nearby within walking distance. I did not have a chance to visit the Science World.
It is Invanhoe Hotel and the C&N branding is almost non-existent--regarding the Title. The pic of the comfortable lounge is false. There are no decent kitchen facilities. There are no decent bathroom/showering facilities. There is no Wifi in the room. I don't think it is too much to ask for free coffee and tea--afterall the "bed" charge is not that cheap. The front desk guys could be much more friendly and helpful. Although the location is very rough and they have to deal with some "tough customers", I have seen other backpack joints handle and manage business much better.

Worst hostel ever

Two words. Bed bugs. I wasn't going to write a terrible review but the suffering I am going through from being horribly bitten in this hostel is more costly than the 70 bucks I got back from getting an infested room. It was a tiny hole on the bottom of the box spring that we unfortunately did not notice until the morning, full of disgusting little blood sucking and flesh eating insects. There was toilet water all over the bathroom floors and the people were sketchy as hell. Do not stay here

The location of the hotel was good, but everywhere

Pros: only the location
Cons: I think It needs great improvement but it is not possible. The problem is the surroundings are not good.
Location: The location is good.
The location of the hotel was good, but everywhere around it was homeless people. It is not a place for kids,.And really we were disappointed when we arrived there, and saw the place. The hotel staff told me it is not a place for kids. Kids were afraid all the time. But it was peaceful and we did not meet any problem while staying there.
