We love this place. It's quiet, beautiful, and absolutely wonderful. Close to town, walking distance from everything. The tub is glorious The innkeepers are wonderful. They help create the perfect environment for complete relaxation. Breakfast-oh my word, so delicious!

Lovely staff. Tasty breakfast options. Comfortable bedding. About a 15 minute walk from all the action. A very lovely place.

Very good locationPosted Sep 15, 2015
About 3 blocks from the busy shops and restaurants, so walking is easy. The Edwards room was quite small, but nicely decorated. Somewhat awkward lay out with the sink right by the bed and no shower except a hand held in the hot tub. The building is beautiful, with victorian-style paint all around. Nice host was low key. Wonderful breakfast in a basket. Done very thoughtfully and delivered to the room.

Peaceful Victorian settingPosted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
It was fabulous! We would come back again if we ever have the opportunity to be on the island. And, we certainly will recommend it to anyone who needs a quiet place to stay while on the island. It.s so close to town and yet very peaceful neighborhood. We also felt very welcomed and very safe at the Humboldt.

I lovely and convenient place to stay. Everything was perfect but would have liked more personal interaction with the owners. Breakfast was fantastic and brought to your room, which I enjoyed.

Pros: Everything! Gracious hosts; beautifully restored; sherry and dainty treats in the library; comfortable beds; wonderful breakfasts brought to your room
Location: I chose the Humboldt because of it's proximity to the Save On Foods Memorial Center - an easy walk to and from the venue - and the ferry as well.
We came to town for a concert - just a one night stay. Humboldt B&B was perfect! It's absolutely beautiful and elegant. It is family owned and their attention to lovely details is impressive. We needed to request an early breakfast, outside of the ususal service time, and it was graciously and deliciously accomodated. The Humboldt was walking distance to everything we needed.

Humboldt HousePosted Jul 17, 2015
Our stay was very pleasant. After arriving in Victoria from Washington as walk-on ferry passengers, we walked to the home with our luggage. Being first-time visitors to the city, the route to the home, though easy and direct, required frequent glances to a street map. A $5 ride via a taxi would have been a better choice. The home is an easy and comfortable 10-minute walk from the harbor, shopping and restaurants. The hosts are welcoming and eager to assist with any questions or other needs. From relaxing in the library while enjoying assorted pastries and brandy, to the comfortable rooms, the home makes you feel like your are truly "at home." The delicious breakfasts are delivered directly to your room so you can enjoy a quiet, private, meal at the start of your day.

Wonderful place! The attention to detail in the room was lovely. Very nice folks who ran it. I would certainly stay there again. Great walking location to downtown fun too!
