“This was my first trip to Maine for a quick 38 hour trip for a friend's baby shower from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. Communication was easy as I was able to text the person at the front desk letting them know my ETA. Once I got my rental car and let them know I was close, the host Maggie literally had the door open to greet me. Once showing me to my room, I looked around the pantry to see local snacks and drinks available to grab and go. Maggie went above and beyond by giving me……

“Clean, beautiful room with a vintage feel. Great staff, very attentive. If you have a show to go to they offer a car service to take you there. It’s a 5 minute walk to the theater though so that was nice. Tandem bakery is right next door. You have to get coffee and pastries. Make sure to get a loaded biscuit. ”

“Given there's no staff onsite, questions and communication are all remote, leading to delay in response. Rooms were cold and heating was hard to adjust. ”

“Excellent breakfast option for eggs or tasty fresh yogurt. One day out of four they strangely neglected to clean the room, even with a door sign requesting service, but the night front desk person took it upon herself to do so when we noted the problem after returning around dinner time. She’s a gem. Showers were excellent. Rooms were reasonably sized too. Request a third floor if you don’t like the sound of people above your room walking around as the hardwood floors amplify this. I also feel like they should’ve had a room service option. The convenience shop in the lobby was very expensive. Overall a nice place though.”
