2/5 Poor

Lots of weekday traffic. House was dirty.
Back yard very small and not kept up. Contact person never showed up when said they were going to bring supplies over for us ! Kitchen was small and dirty we had to wash dishes before we used them. Had trouble with the refrigerator called to report it no one showed up. TV never worked reported that also and no one bothered to stop over to check it. Was very hot in the house first night, next day a young man did stop by and put the air conditioners in that were in the closets. We did not know that he was stopping by. He was very nice and polite got all 4 air conditioners in and turned on. All in all our group had a great time in Watkins Glen ! The house needs to have a much better cleaning crew to take care of it! And the dryer takes forever to dry your clothes. Some of the windows didn’t even have curtains on them. Nice house but needs lots of TLC. And when you talk to the contact person and they tell you they are going to stop by and drop off stuff for you and never show up the whole time we were there makes for a bad review. we love the location, everything was conveniently close
nice location

1/5 Terrible

It will be fine, as long as you don’t need anything.
We didn’t get the pin code- I had to text to ask for it. The lady who called me back, Julia, wasn’t extremely nice, but whatever. When we got there the house had not been cleaned. Not at all. The previous guests dirty linens and dishes were there. We got in touch with Julia and the cleaning ladies came later in the evening and made the beds and wiped down the bathrooms. They said they would come back the next day for a “deep cleaning”. They never came back. We called Julia again and asked if we could at least get some towels since we had none for a day and a half now. Later that evening she brought some towels. She said that she would refund us our cleaning deposit. We told her we would also like a partial refund since we stayed in a totally uncleaned house during a pandemic. She said she would get back to us. After about 2 weeks and several more phone calls to her she promised a partial refund. When it hit my bank account it was a little more than half of what she had promised. I reached out to her, and she just stopped texting me. It became too much of a hassle to pursue it any further. We’re all grateful that at least none of us got sick. So, the location was great. The house was dated, but fine. I only hope if you go that you don’t need anything. Chances are you will not be taken care of if Julia is the person you are dealing with.
