Westbrook cottage in Westbrook Center with kitchen and fireplace
Come enjoy what Southern Connecticut has to offer at the Chapman Cottage! This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom is only 5 minutes walk to Chapman Beach. Beach access and gear included! Close to Outlet Malls, 25 mins drive to Mystic, and many more local attractions.

After a great day at the beach, prepare a nice meal in our fully equipped kitchen and have dinner in the sunroom or grill away and eat outside. Plenty of board games for fun nights in.

There are 2 bedrooms. Both have hanging closets, with hangers. The master bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress. The other bedroom has a full size day bed with a twin trundle. The living room couch unfolds as a queen bed. Linens are provided for all beds

The outdoor space has a picnic table that holds 6 people, a large umbrella and a propane grill.

You’ll have access to the entire cottage, the yard and 2 parking spots

The Chapman Cottage is part of the Chapman Beach Community of Westbrook, CT and is in close proximity to Chapman Beach (2 mins drive, 5 mins walk on fairly flat grounds).

Westbrook, CT is sandwiched in between Clinton and Old Saybrook. This small coastal town is well-known for its sandy beaches facing the Long Island Sound, Stewart B. Kinney National Wildlife Refuge and the Westbrook Outlets.

Venture out to the neighboring towns for more outlet (Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets) and antique shopping (many stores along Route 1!)

The Chapman Cottage is close to I-95 and is right off Route 1. We recommend having a vehicle to get around to see local attractions and shop/ dine out.

Once you’re at the Chapman Cottage, you can walk to Chapman Beach, which is about 5 mins away.

This is a vibrant beach community, with over 100 Cottages. The neighboring houses in somewhat close proximity and we ask for our guests to be respectful and aware of the neighbors when enjoying the outdoor space and while at the Beach.

While driving through the Community, we ask that you respect speed limits and always proceed with caution.

After booking the Chapman cottage for my wedding party just a short time before the wedding Ashley sends me a message that it is no longer available. However, she offers another cottage - The Bay Cottage in Niantic which is & that was wonderful. Very clean, enough space, easy to find and check in. Ashley was very responsive to messages and helpful through the situation that was very much beyond her control. So, though vrbo's stay info didn't update and this info won't go to the right property, I highly recommend The Bay Cottage in Niantic.

Amazing, quaint, escape at the beach!!
Ashley was wonderful. Permitted an early check-in, and was super available to answer questions. Beach house was perfect for us and the fire pit and outdoor space was great. Cooking items, pots, pans, limited (but just right) amount of spices, and olive oil to cook. The only suggestion I would make, is to shift to non-chemical cleaners and cleaning agents, laundry detergent, etc. with HEAVY perfumes. Aside from the need, to air the place out and let the linens and towels breathe, the place is just perfect. I highly recommend this space to anyone seeking a quaint, sweet, beach escape. It is one of the few cottages, that offer some bit of privacy with their fencing as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back🌈🌈

A real treat:)
The cottage was a holiday gift. While visiting my family in the town where I grew up, we were able to begin and end our days in the warmth and comfort of a beautiful cottage taken care of with clear love and pride. Sitting by the fireside and unwinding after full days with family was more than we could have hoped for. And our hosts were so thoughtful and provided everything we could have possibly needed! I cannot wait to return in the Spring and/or Summer!

The cottage was very clean, cozy, sunny and well appointed with plenty of soft linens, kitchen necessities, simple furniture, etc. It was quiet (later winter) and very peaceful. Heat, hot water, etc all worked well. Check in instructions were clear and easy. Ashley was extremely responsive and helpful!

Not great for a fall/winter stay
The home is probably great for summer use, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a fall or winter. The heat was off when we arrived, so the home was very cold. It took several hours to heat up and when it did the temperature was difficult to adjust to a comfortable level. The home has old electric baseboard heat, so it’s either to hot or cold.

Quiet neighborhood!
This was just as advertised with a wonderful private beach to walk to plus Hammonasset State Park is very close by and has a nature center and walking trails. Ww had a lovely stay!

Lovely Cottage
It was a short walk down the beach and everyone was friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and not overly cluttered. We wish there more hooks in the only bathroom for towels and maybe and outside line for drying beach towels/suits. A hose to spray off sand from feet would have been nice too. We simply used the faucet over the mulch to get the majority on the side of the house. Just be aware of the mosquitos. They attacked the second we got out of the car and seem to live at the back door luckily the back room has a door closing it off so we could trap those that got in from eating us overnight.
