Perfect Stay for Celebrating Anniversary

Posted Apr 10, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed 2 nights to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and this was the perfect place for it. Spacious, sunlit Suite 11 is highly recommended. Dinner was astounding in the on-site restaurant. Great staff, location and very relaxing.

Anniversary celebration at Auberge Provençal

Posted Mar 24, 2015 on Hotels
We were celebrating our 50th anniversary. What a wonderful place to do so. Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed meeting three other couples who were also celebrating either birthdays or anniversaries. The food was indescribably delicious, both breakfast and dinner. We chose the three-course meal and it was more than enough. We were both very full but also very satisfied. The staff were really nice and accommodating. I hope that we can go there again for another special occasion.

One of the Best B&B's.

Posted Nov 26, 2014 on Hotels
If you're a B&B person, this is a winner. Rooms range from very nice to outstanding. On a prior visit, we took advantage of a special and stayed in a suite. It spoiled us for staying in a regular room. The regular room was very nice but suites are so much nicer. A big part of why we like staying here is the restaurant. Outstanding dinners. Very creative and extremely well prepared breakfasts.

Great romantic getaway in Virginia countryside

Posted Sep 20, 2014 on Hotels
Beautiful historic house and nicely attached guestrooms in the midst of gardens and rolling hills. We enjoyed the French-themed, not-too-antiquey/flowery decor, and the staff that was everywhere and unseen at the same time. The restaurant is excellent with each course coming with presentation and surprise, and the location is close to both the historic downtown of Winchester as well as wineries. In short, L'Auberge Provencale was great and we would love to return.

Amazing weekend getaway

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Cons: Our only issue was some trouble with the AC in our room, so it was very hot at night -- the traditional French experience, perhaps!
A fantastic stay here. The staff were incredibly gracious and accommodating. We did a wine tour with Celeste in the afternoon, whose recommendations were great. Hearing about the different wineries and the history of Virginia wine was very interesting to us. We hadn't planned to dine at L'Auberge, but on Celeste's suggestion we changed our minds, and the meal was absolutely mind-blowing. Incredible presentation, the freshest ingredients, and a really beautiful menu. The service was impeccable. This rivals any New York City restaurant, for sure. Our room was in the villa a couple of miles from the main inn, which meant we got to enjoy the pool and meeting the owners' very friendly dogs. Breakfast in the morning was also fantastic, and we left L'Auberge very satisfied with our experience there.
