Located one mile from Glacier National Park in the sleepy hamlet of West Glacier, this chalet feels secluded, yet offers easy access to a variety of local restaurants and stores. Slightly farther afield, the town of Whitefish is 25 miles away, while Whitefish Mountain Resort is a little more than 30 miles away. While you’re staying at the chalet, you can take a quick walk to the West Glacier Nordic ski track, with more than 5k of groomed ski trail for skate and classic skiers to enjoy while surrounded by views of Glacier National Park.

Modern and cozy, this chalet is perfect for a small family or group of friends who want to revel in the untamed beauty of the Montana wilderness. With high, vaulted ceilings and expansive windows that overlook the mountain scenery, this chalet invites you to relax and unwind as you soak up nature's beauty.

The main floor of the home features a cozy couch and a large, fully equipped open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space. Treat your group to a home-cooked meal, which you can enjoy at the six-person dining room table. Cleanup is over in no time thanks to the dishwasher.

After dinner, step out to the private deck and enjoy a glass of wine or a mug of hot cocoa while you watch the sun set. Plan the next day's activities or share pictures of your adventures with friends and family using the WiFi.

Head back inside and downstairs to the family room. Curl up on the comfy furniture with a good book, or use the space to host a family game night.

When night falls, this home can accommodate up to six guests. The two bedrooms each have one queen-size bed, while the loft features a full-size sofabed for additional sleeping space. There is also one full bathroom on the main floor.

Go for a long hike or bike ride, or try your hand at fly fishing. Head to the Crown of the Continent Discovery Center for guided tours, including horseback rides, llama treks, and snowmobile tours. In the winter, head to Whitefish Mountain Resort for skiing and snowboarding.

For a day off between adventures, check out the art galleries in the towns Whitefish and Kalispell, maybe stopping for a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants or cafes.

4/5 Good

Great location
Stayed there in winter. Easy to get to things, great view, cozy cabin!

5/5 Excellent

Great time in Glacier!
The location is close to Glacier and very convenient. The property was very clean and had most amenities to make it a great time. The only problem I had was the directions were in reverse of what was sent to me, which made it confusing when trying to locate the property. The slider at the location did not have any type of blind which made me a lack of privacy. Overall it was a great experience.

5/5 Excellent

Great place in West Glacier
This was our base of operation during our 5 days in Glacier National Park. The house gave us plenty of room to spread out. We liked having the full kitchen to cook meals. One bathroom would make it a bit crowded if you have 6 people. There were a few minor maintenance items to be fixed but nothing that hampered us. I loved watching the sun rise over the mountains from our kitchen table!

5/5 Excellent

Great home base!
This house gave us plenty of room to spread out and feel at home. It was a great base for activities around the park, e.g., rafting, hiking, horseback riding. Of course, the Howe Ridge Fire threw a wrench in things but we managed. Very clean and well-maintained.

3/5 Okay

Great Chalet/Horrible Management Company
The location and updated chalet were great, but unfortunately the management company was horrific to work with! Booked early in the year and paid in full, then received an email while I was driving to the location in July, which stated that if I did not print, sign and scan back a rental agreement, they would withhold information on how to get in! This is not something anyone wants to deal with while trying to enjoy a road trip! And why would they not have you sign the agreement when they have you pay them in full? There were also a couple of broken items in the chalet. So, I guess as long as you call the company prior to trying to enjoy your vacation and make sure there’s no hidden contracts that they are waiting to have you sign, you’ll be okay.
