“Hotel has a nice character to it. Upon checking in, we were offered delicious peanut butter cookies and nice spicy herbal tea. Room is clean, pool was a great addition and had a very warm and clean water. ”

“From the staff at the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was great. Everything from the room to the area outside, everything was very clean. The only issue was the central heat and air. It was very loud, like a tractor trailer was outside our room. ”

“We loved our stay here while we toured UVA. The hotel is trendy and beautiful. The rooftop bar, cafe and restaurant were top notch. Missy checked us in and was kind and simply amazing. ”

“This was fine for the price - I did not want to spend lots of a few nights in town - simply wanted clean, safe, and for me quiet is important. The staff accommodated my request to move my room from one facing the highway to one facing the woods in the back. 29 can get loud! Exactly what I expected for the price. Breakfast is not included unlike most Holiday Inns I have stayed in so make sure you buy it in advance or make plans to get breakfast elsewhere.”

“The 1950s theme is fun and well-done. Pink Princess phone, Crossley record player with great jazz classic LPs (we listened to the Coltrane/Ellington session), and beautiful, funky mosaic tile in the bathroom. Two complaints: weak shower pressure, and the air conditioner didn’t cool as well as we'd like. But we would definitely go back and stay longer the next time we're in Charlottesville. ”

“Room was really great - very spacious. Updated and had a kitchen! Breakfast was ok, but wish they would have offered some kind of fresh eggs, not just reheated breakfast sandwiches that were kinda yuck.”

“We really enjoyed the breakfast n the great cooks! The team behind the front desk were wonderful, cheerful, n very polite. Always ready to help everyone. Even the maintenance crew were very nice n help us with the washing machines. Will stay again.”

“Room was clean, spacious and setup nicely. The only bad thing was the ac compressor was very, very, very loud. As long as the compressor was running, it was a constant roar. However, whenever it turned off/on it would wake me up.”
