“We have been staying at this hotel for roughly 20 years, ever since we moved away from the shore. It has deteriorated a great deal since it was a Holiday Inn. The staff is fine but I suspect the current owners are OK just coasting with the current conditions. The fitness room and pool remain high points. “The location was undergoing renovations, ceilings were open and the parking lot was being resurfaced. There was an odd smell and the rooms were fairly outdated, with stains and mold in areas. The breakfast was a disaster, the waffle irons were on but no mix, and the juice dispenser was empty. There was no butter for the toast and no milk for cereal. When I asked the teen in the kitchen room, he simply said no. That was the end. He opened the juice dispenser showing the empty spots and said……

“I enjoyed the location to beach and boardwalk. Several pools and plenty of lounge chairs.”

“The rooms were filthy and the entry doors didn’t close the whole way. Non smoking rooms were filled with the smell of smoke. Couches were ripped and stained. I’ve never been to a hotel that was this dirty. I couldn’t even stay the night and they charged me for the room regardless.”

“Convenient location. Pleasant staff. Clean rooms. Kitchen cabinets and furniture could use an update. Breakfast was fair (nothing compared to the Hampton Inn's breakfasts). Overall, a nice place to stay close to Long Branch beach.”
