Guests have access to all areas of the cabin, including the hot tub, decks, game room, fire pits, and kitchen. Guests do not have access to the owners closet located in the downstairs hallway or the cleaning closets located in the laundry room. Guests are required to sign Cherokee Rose Homes Rental Contract and authorize a $250 security deposit prior to their reservation. Please note that our property is nestled in the mountains amidst a wooded area, which means that the open spaces and outdoor sitting areas may be exposed to leaves, dust, pollen, and other natural elements. After a few days from the last cleaning, these outside areas may accumulate leaves, pollen, and some dust due to their exposure. We appreciate your understanding in this regard. This space has been prepared for guests traveling from out of town! We love to host guests from out of town who have previously stayed in short-term rentals and earned favorable reviews. While we appreciate the interest in staying with our property, please note that we do not cater to guests who live in the area and are looking for an alternate venue for their affairs or events and reserve the right to turn these guests away. Firewood is not provided. There will be a $500 fine for fires left unattended or fires that were not put out prior to leaving or retiring for the night. We don't want any embers be blown over to the nearby trees/woods, or anything that can potentially set it on fire. Guests give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen their identity and check criminal databases to confirm their reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest screening can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. Couldn't see mountains because of the leaves but I'm sure when they all fall in winter you can. All the beds were very comfortable . The hot tub was clean and the kids loved getting in every evening. We arrived at check-in time of 4 and found that code would not open lock. Contacted property manager and was sent a backup code. It did not work either. Contacted prperty manager again and was sent emergency code which didn't work either. Contacted property manager again and were told of lock box location and code to get key to open back door. Opened the lock box to discover no key inside. Contacted property manager yet again and was offered 20% nightly discount and that maintenance person might be able to get there in a half hour or so. These activities took approximately an houir and ten minutes. We finally decided to cancel the trip and contacted the property manager again to let them know. They agreed to fully refund the reservation. Drove 3 hours back home thoroughly disappointed. Seems attention to detail is lacking. The water was turned off when we got there. I had to find tools and turn it on myself. Hot tub kept cutting off, had to replug more than once. Screen door was ripped. Some of this may have been hurricane related but I would expect it would have been checked over before we got there.
