“We had an amazing stay at the Rutland Arms, it exceeded our expectations in every way. Everything we could have hoped for from a former English coaching Inn, although it felt traditional everything was up to date and clean and well cared for. Can’t wait to return!”

“Loved the facilities and room :) we had a great 3 day stay. Only thing we didn't like is the TV not registering hdmi so we couldn't watch any movies during our down time after hikes and swimming, and the live TV didn't work often. Other than that we were mostly outdoors and exploring Peak District but coming back to a clean room and relaxing in the hot tub and pool was great. ”

“A fabulous property within the Peak District National Park, serving good food & beer, but also easily accessed from Sheffield too. A short drive from the Ladybower Dam for Dambuster fans & the Snake Pass for those who may enjoy the drive to Glossop & back !”

“Memorable hotel. Great if you like history and old buildings. Right opposite the lovely Buxton gardens. Very well kept place considering how old the building is. ”

“Lovely. We will definitely be back. The food was really special as was the wine and service. We paid for the deluxe king room and the bathroom was really lovely my only slight gripe was the room didn’t feel especially roomy or deluxe however the bathroom did make up for this as it was gorgeous. Not a complaint but I think I wouldn’t pay the extra for the deluxe room when I come back which I definitely will be doing. It’s worth it for the food and service alone as well as the beautiful scenery. ”

“Overall our two nights were good room and property were very clean and there's a kitchen for food. A couple of points would be to have a blind on the bathroom door window mainly because the morning light comes in and wound add more privacy. Also we found the mattresses uncomfortable and springy so didn't get a great sleep but its a lovely property and would stay again if beds were comfier ”

“A characterful pub with a lovely beer garden by a little stream. Delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. Within walking distance to shops and cafes and the path leading up to walks up to Stanage Edge.”

We had a very warm welcome, all the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts and evening meals were excellent with lots of food options. Our room was cosy and very clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for walking and exploring the local area. Thanks to all for a fabulous weekend x”
