“Be very careful staying at this hotel. Booked to stay in this hotel in June. About 20 minutes before check in we got an email to say suite we booked was unavailable due to “construction issues” and were being moved to a different hotel with no options given. Upon complaining, we asked if we could stay in a smaller room at the Foxberry until our room was ready, which they agreed to. “Very interesting place. The location was exceptional with Nauset Beach within walking distance along with Pricilla Landing. Room was nice, however, a dormer took up half of it which made that part of the room unusable except for a TV. “The staff met us on arrival with a very friendly welcome. Took us on a tour of the AB&B and what to expect the Breakfast and code for the front door. They posted the breakfast menu and asked if we need anything special. Coffee, Tea and Snacks were avalable 24/7. The rooms were clean and the staff made up the room and fresh towels everyday. "AVOID THIS HOTEL One of the towels provided had a brown stain that was extremely ugly (doubt it may be undesirable marks, with a bad smell). What's worse is that I discovered it after shower when I was using it. This was unacceptable, especially for an esteemed vacation house like this. When I reported the issue to the front desk during check out, I received no apology and was told that no compensation could be offered because the booking was made through a third party (on Expedia), and the front desk could do nothing about it. He said he would report to the manager, and I received no follow-up. I find this response both unprofessional and disappointing. I also wrote an email to the management team and received no response. The general experience was unpleasant. I hope I can receive proper settlement from the hotel management team."
