“Nice place, good breakfast.”

“This hotel is exactly as advertised. It is a beautiful, quaint, elegant hotel in the middle of downtown Sedalia. They have really done a lot to maintain the original construction as much as possible. The food in the Oak Room was 5 stars and moderately priced. Excellent walking distance to almost anything you would like to see. The downtown architecture is beautiful. Would definitely return.”

“Room and motel need an update. It was a little rundown in my room had a very musty smell to it. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff was very nice. The hotel just needs a facelift.”

“Our stay was not great. The hotel and room both smelled like dog, the room was not especially clean, and we had ants in our room. The bathroom door frame was loose and made a very loud noise every time the door opened. Breakfast was also sub-par. The biggest concern was that staff told someone else what room we were staying in. Even though it was someone we knew, that felt like a real breach of privacy and trust. There were some positives: the room had a Keurig and fridge, the waffle maker was……

“Check in was strange. Went to put code in for the room and the door pushed open without unlocking. The door was not latched. We chose to not stay. Felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation.”

“The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were ok, but don’t look like the pictures on the site. It was ok just to have a place to come and sleep for the price and that I could bring my small dog. There wasn’t a pool, which is listed as an amenity. If there was a free breakfast I wasn’t ever aware of it. The beds are comfortable. For the price I would stay here again.”

“I don’t have enough good things to say about this property. The rooms are very well cleaned and adequately maintained, despite it being an older property. The exterior is super cute and there are accommodating areas to gather, including a fire pit. It’s very quiet. The best thing about it is the manager. She is an absolute doll. She took great care of our elderly parents, going WAY above and beyond to make sure their stay was superb. I can 100% recommend this property if you want to avoid the……

“They don’t tell you on the website but even if you book online you have to pay a deposit and it doesn’t say that nowhere also I booked for a cheaper rate and they still tried to charge me more for the room I had no issues with the room it’s self you get what you paid for i will not be returning here souly on the staff I mean it wasn’t a lot for the deposit either I just only had enough for the room it’s self and had I known and then I forgot to put I had an infant and they made a huge deal about……

“Cleanliness is NOT a priority for this motel - gym stuck to the walls, clearly needed vacuumed, flies all over the place - it was cheap for a reason!”

“Place was filthy. Sheets were stained, towels stained, toilet seat scratched up and missing paint on the seat, sink scratched up and stained, shower curtain stained. The only positive thing was the ac was ice cold but probably was blowing all kinds of nasty germs and mold into the air.”
