The Location: If you're a fan of Torrey Pines Reserve and public beach, then this is the spot for you. A quick walk and your toes are in the sand! Loved this location. But beware: condos are close together and voices travel! We knew everything about the neighbor across from us after our week's stay.
The View: If you're looking for that Million Dollar Sunset View, this isn't the place for you. Although we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and loved the breakfast bar, the view was interesting but not stunning. The sun sets behind the condo to the right. You do see water, just not an expansive, wave-crashing view. But the people watching on the street below was fun.
The Condo: Very nicely decorated and comfortable for our four adults. Upstairs living area is bright and open; downstairs bedrooms although beautifully decorated are dark. Good for sleeping, but not much else.
Loved how there was attention to detail: fresh sponge in kitchen, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags (not every rental does that and it's annoying when they don't--who wants to go buy TP on their vacation??), beach towels and chairs (no umbrella, however).
Kitchen had the basics but not much more. Frustrating! Could have used an electric hand mixer (rather than the old-fashioned egg beater!!), cheese grater, wooden mixing spoons, a platter or two, etc. It's hard to understand the thinking behind this kitchen austerity as most people rent condos because they want to cook their meals!!!
Ice maker was broken during our stay and obviously had been for awhile because of the ice cube trays in the freezer. That needed to be fixed before we arrived. A turn off.
Even with these few small complaints, I would go back again.
