“Could use a good cleaning!! Shower in room dirty, floor dirty, cob webs hanging on walls. Not a non smoking hotel as specified. Weed smokers were enjoying themselves.”

“The $5 shuttle, per person, was very useful to get to the Welcome Center in Old Town. Rooms are simple yet clean. Our second time and would go back again. Choice has just bought the property so it is looking more commercial than it did with private owners.”

“This could have been a 3 star review, BUT.... The hotel, restaurant and marina bar are something out of the past, harking back to the golden age of tiki themed resorts. Our assigned room was nice but the air conditioning was dated and the room wouldn't cool at all. A call to the front desk, and we were upgraded to a recently remodeled room with cold cold air and a complimentary drink. We loved our stay!! My compliments to the wonderful and accommodating staff. We will definitely return!!”

“Our stay at The Local excellent overall . The road noise can be a little loud in the evening but it gets better later in the night. The cleanliness was a 9/10 and comfort was a 8/10. The room could use a comfortable chair for relaxing. The pool was a nice bonus even though it was a little cool for a dip. The staff less operation of property was not an issue. It was much like renting a vacation property through other agencies. We would stay again. ”
