We adored this “rustic” property with its early morning birdsong, simple clean (very clean!) rooms and lovely pool overlooking the ocean. Delicious breakfast poolside or on our terrace. Courteous and kind staff. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! The view is (of course) amazing but what sets it apart is the fun, engaged staff that know the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving you space to enjoy the solitude of the moment. Best chef and bartender in Negril!!

Fabulous and beautiful. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Villas were amazing. Lovely quiet area, but sometimes some noise nearby (music) and dogs barking in the night. Great pool and bar/restaurant area. But note that it shuts at 7pm and there's not a lot else nearby. Food and drinks were very good.

This was our combined 4th trip to Negril. This property was recommended from a friend because we wanted to stay in on e spot for 2 weeks. This little gem is perfection. There are not enough words to describe how perfect this location and little boutique hotel turned out to be. We have just returned home yesterday and have booked for next March. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff was amazing. The pool was even enjoyable and we are not pool people. Nothing but excellent ratings for this place. You will not be disappointed!!!

I'd like to write a great review but our last day there a home 2 doors down the street had music blasting from 10am untill 2 am nonstop. no escape from it and no help from staff or local police. I'm glad we didn't come with more people

Enjoyed my stay . Negatives : The neighbor was playin loud music Saturday 9 at night till ? The mosquitoes had a feast in my room until I asked them housekeeping staff to “kill any you see!” (They sprayed it). Positives: friendly staff including young lady at the desk at night, dining staff, housekeeping, staff, quiet location ( minus sat night) view , pool, ocean swimming off the rocks. Felt like we had the the whole place to ourselves . Price has been adjusted to fit the market.

I really enjoyed my stay at Idle Awhile cliffs. It is further west of Negril than I thought but we made it work. Be sure to arrange taxi service especially in the evening or at night as taxis didn't seem to pass by often. - The grounds were kept clean - The rooms can use a slight update. For instance, the patio door didn't have a mesh so we couldn't open them or we would be fighting mosquitos all night. - The staff were kind and accommodating. - The a la cart meals were pretty good. I was happy to get complementary breakfast. I would love it if the menu was expanded to include more authentic Jamaican food options. - The pool was nice a clean.

I count find that hotel nowhere it doesn't even pop up on the gps I arrived HOURS late and the front entrance don't even look like a hotel they tried to keep telling me that the hotel is "right here" instead of being understanding , I wasn't trying to get charged late fee. The front entrance look like a garage nth like the picture. Their communication could be better. And checkout is not wat it says on the app they need to fix that it's wayyyyyy earlier and dogs be barking like crazy and they don't have parking really u just park in from of the tree like create ur own parking

Beware of the General Manager

Solo stay @Idleawhile cliffs property was scary and alarming experience to say the least. This property is beautiful and stunning and happens to have two of the best staff, Sandria and Robert. Both are amazing, I’m thankful for your kindness and care during my stays. The GM is deeply concerning. My stay in rm 5, (I’ve stayed many times prior) I received a serious electric shock while cooking on the stove. The current grabbed my hand and went up my arm and into my mouth. I had to turn off the electric current with my other hand. I tried to call the front desk, the phone was dead. I found Robert the groundskeeper and he notified maintenance and the GM. GM Xavian reached out the next day via non corporate correspondence WhatsApp/phone our conversation went from professional to very unprofessional in minutes with him screaming at me and asking me “what do I expect!” As far as compensation and then turned to him calling/texting via WhatsApp as to not have this officially documented, then offering to comp a night and then two, just to rescind the offer the next day if I don’t meet him face to face. All the while he assured me that the stove was fixed and I went to use the stove again and I was electrocuted again! I was livid and in pain. He stated he would withhold compensation unless I met with him in person. I no longer felt comfortable with him I left the property early and went to a new one. I reported this to hotels.com asap and they have been amazing in their resolve.

We had a nice stay at this resort. It is a bit out-of-the-way - which suited us fine! - and some of the buildings need a little TLC. But wow, what a peaceful place! we had the place pretty much to ourselves, and the location, pool, views, staff, outdoor restaurant, and fresh tasty food, cooked to order, were absolutely wonderful. We tread water in the ocean, then swam off the brine in the pool, had cocktails with the family at sunset while they cooked up here shrimp salads and fish filets. For a change of pace, we walked ten minutes to Murphy’s for dinner once or twice. If they boosted the WiFi (quite weak in many areas; cellular service not much better), and water pressure upstairs in our villa, they could be charging a whole lot more money. Four stars.

Loved and appreciated the dedicated staff and the ease of communication. The hotel seemed very well managed. Nice, quiet, peaceful cliff location with elevated views of the ocean. The chef was very talented with creative, fresh and healthy Jamaican inspired cuisine. The units were tastefully designed and furnished in a relaxed and chic, island modern style. Shuttle to the beach property was a fantastic addition. IdleAwhile, I will be back! Thanks for making a single female traveler feel like a Queen! Bless!

I’m in Negril on the Cliffs often and I’m so glad I’ve finally stayed here. It’s beautiful and the rooms are big and spacious. The staff is amazing and kind. Very attentive. Free breakfast was a lovely touch. Shane was especially accommodating. Thank you. And a discounted Covid test to return home made me very happy. I love how intimate the property is. My only caveat was the remote had dead batteries in it and we had to keep switching batteries from one remote to another to get the devices to work. Maintenance did come and fix that issue. And the some of the sun shades on the pool deck need to be fixed. Thank you for the comfortable stay. I will return again.
