“It’s an old hotel, so don’t expect modern day upgrades in the rooms. The hotel IS great. Our room was good. A few things wrong with room but no bad, sort of. Our a/c unit didn’t work, so we had to leave the window open our entire 4 day stay. Not bad. There IS, also, a big window in the shower, which is facing the street. Talk about putting a show for all those outside. Our room had a great view, and so did the outside looking in. It’s even worse when showering, or using bathroom at night. Beware……

“The hotel was perfect for our stay. It was extremely quiet, quaint, and I loved all of the little unique details throughout the property. We had a patio room and it was beautiful to sit out there in the crisp fall air with all of the leaves falling. It was also the perfect location for our day trip to Salem. Just a short drive and we were right downtown. Lots of great little shops and restaurants close by. We really enjoyed our stay. This is the perfect little boutique hotel for couples and I……

“The room was very nice and roomy but did have a bit of a musty smell upon arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the fact that they offered breakfast was a nice touch. The biggest drawback really was the stairs. They are quite steep and difficult to maneuver with luggage. I saw another guest fall trying to navigate his luggage. I never would have gotten my big suitcase up the stairs by myself. I do have to say that the person at the front desk offered assistance if needed,……
