“Loved the location..close to beaches..city.”

“The hotel in general, including the side entrance, the stairwell area, and our room were extremely dirty with evidence that the cleaners either didn’t clean the room. The floor in the entrance of our room was sticky and stained, the bathroom floor was dirty with human hair around the toilet area, plus the toilet was filthy. The main part of our room had an empty water bottle on the floor, the one bed, when I pulled the covers back was not changed as you could see that it was laid on before us.……

“The wall in our room had big chips and not painted lots of dirt marks on the wall the biggest problem was the toilets they are really low and not good for seniors or any disability the breakfast was well done more than we were expecting they keep using the same door key holder it was discussting”

“Hosts were polite and kind. Breakfast was very good! Great location! Short walk to town and to the water was very nice. The room wasn't as clean as we would like. The one chair (antique) although period to the house, was not sturdy and therefore not usable. Did not like the shared bathroom. Also, bathtub could have been cleaner and better appointed.”

“I am very disappointed with my stay. I booked this hotel based on the photos and description on Expedia, but the room I received is significantly different from what was advertised. The room appears much older and does not reflect the quality shown in the listing. I immediately spoke with the concierge, but I was told the hotel was fully booked and no alternative room was available. “This is a classic inn that is scheduled for a massive renovation. Over the years there have been attempts to improve and maintain, lipstick on a pig. It’s good to lay your head for a night after being at The Kee or snowmobiling all day. It’s a functional place to stay, no frills or extras. The black painted ceiling was concerning about what it might be hiding. The bathroom had been partially updated and was clean. Strange to not have overhead lighting or lamps. We had one chair and one table so……

“We had a good time at the Villa nova. They are currently recovering from a fire that happened earlier this year. So although the accommodations were good the property is in a bit of a transition. Pool was a highlight, well maintained and in good shape. Excellent access to the beach so it's just across the road. One of the best deals in the area with meat access so close. The owners are very friendly and helpful. This is a family run business”
