“From the outside this place looked like it was under construction or closed. There were mattresses stacked on a trailer and a few people milling around in the parking lot that gave it the appearance of an abandoned property. I am in the process of requesting a refund because I did not feel safe staying there and chose to go somewhere more appealing and safe looking.”

“4 day stay and housekeeping never visited room even though we put out the sign on door for house keeping request, NO PETS.”

“Clean room. We stayed in a "cabin", which has 4 apartments in it. Older property. Could use updating. Very clean. Bed was uncomfortable. Grounds were lovely.”

“We always wanted to stay here and now we have! The views and campus were absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. The room was quaint but not sure worth the luxury price. Air conditioner was a little loud which I guess helped quiet the talking at the bar since our room was close to it. Ice machine was outside and there is no elevator if you are older and need that. (My husband and I were ok on the second look though.) Overall we had a really good time … just don’t know if we’d pay the……

“Pros of room 208: ** Spacious, double floor room with stairs Cons of room 208: ** No AC, but there were two box fans (fans were extremely dirty, three guests have allergies & asthma) ** Shower head in bathroom on the bottom floor needs to be replaced, barely any water came out ** Sofa bed was horrendous and needs to be replaced, springs and mattress were so old that it was like sleeping in a bowl, 1 person decided to sleep on the floor ** Main room door was very difficult to lock from both……

“We needed a place last minute to stay in the Boone area on the 4th and this was the only “affordable” option with our dog. It was over 200 a night for our smaller room but that’s to be expected during a holiday. If you only need to spend a night this room would be fine for your needs. There is no breakfast or other amenities I saw included with the room. The location is very good and right behind downtown Blowing Rock so that was nice. Our room was upstairs and there is no elevator so make……

“My hotel room was never cleaned, even though I went to the desk to ask about it. The room was humid and damp, and on the first floor. Even with the shade pulled completely down, you could see right through my window and the outside dusk to dawn light shown in through my room, illuminating it all night long anyone passing by my room outside could easily see inside to where I was sleeping. Not great.”
