"This is the 4th year our family (3 generations including the grandkids, now ages 5-8) have spent a long weekend at this large, beautiful, and comfortable house. This year we enjoyed a relaxing time, as always, and also loved seeing a great blue heron by the pond and a doe walking through the yard. We definitely hope to return."

"The room itself was decent, with a nice water view and a small balcony, but overall the hotel was fairly average. Unfortunately, the woman working the front desk was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. There is no elevator, and with no first-floor accessible room available, my mother, who is dealing with back and hip issues, had to climb the stairs while we carried our luggage up. The front desk attendant showed absolutely no concern or even basic friendliness. Later, when I asked where the ice machine was, she barely acknowledged me and gave vague directions that actually led toward an employees-only area. A simple smile, pleasant attitude, or willingness to help would have made a big difference. Hospitality matters, and the front desk experience left a very negative impression on an otherwise decent stay. I would not stay at this hotel again because of the front-service clerk."
