7/10 Good! (1,181 reviews)
Been going since 2012 and we're not picky people, were very disappointed in the condition it is in. Did Preferred Club 4th floor ocean view (not worth it to us, we are never in the room), elevator was out and had to climb 4 flights of stairs. Although they are currently doing renovations, we will not return until all renovations are complete and the prices stay reasonable. For it being advertised as a 5 star resort, in its current condition, I would give it a 3 star at the most (again not picky, just want what we paid for). Let's start with the staff: check in was quick and they were great at answering any questions, wait staff and bartenders were very friendly, attentive to our needs and remembered who we were from previous trips (tip them well, they work hard and deserve it), entertainment crew is very friendly and fun and last is housekeeping, did a wonderful job keeping our room clean and stocked (again, tip well). Food: mediocre and menus need revamped, been the same for years. Rooms: run down, toilet leaks, A/C didn't cool and had to be worked on and it leaked also. Two restaurants shut down for renovations and others closed every other day. Conclusion: this used to be a fabulous resort but since Hyatt took it over from Wyndham several years ago, it has gone downhill fast. They focused on Dreams instead. We loved this resort but won't be back unless they do major renovations without jacking up the prices. Other guests we met complained and felt the same way.
