Nice stay in a historic hotel, loved all the paintings! Comfortable bed and has a sink and refrigerator in the room, so having a shared bathroom is not a hardship.
This place is very nice and cozy. the staff was great and very friendly. Thanks!

The room was clean and allowed pets! Only one bathroom down the hall though… A/C worked great and they had a nice coffee/tea station which made the morning go quicker. It is an old building and could do with some remodeling
At first I didnt like the fact that we had to share a bathroom but it wasnt to bad! Family that runs the place are super helpful and friendly. Very private and quiet. Just over great experience during our short stay
Historic building, very nice hosts. Great place to stop and rest

Wonderful historic hotel in the small town of Springer. Our family booked it as a late-night holdover on our way to somewhere else in the area. The beds were clean, very soft and comfortable. The host was kind despite our late-night arrival and guided us through the amenities. This is a historic property though, so some of the facilities are appropriately dated. While we were fine with this, some of them seemed to reflect overdue maintenance (porcelain/finsh chipping/stripping in the sink) vs just simple age.
This was a cute and charming hotel. Family run, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Just what I needed to recharge on an exhausting roadtrip
Springer Station is in the historic Brown Hotel where Judy Garland filmed scenes for "the Harvey Girls" long ago. It is an old-style hotel run by a delightful family and has clean comfortable rooms and areas to sit, have coffee, and read. I was in a shared bath, which takes some flexibility, but worked out just fine. My room had its own sink. The hotel is linked to the railroad era of the Santa Fe as Springer was a transfer station, and many train personnel stayed at the Brown. The family also runs the Depot restaurant in town, where I had the best steak in 20 years! I highly recommend this site for a stay.

The reception area was full of mismatched antiques that were sitting around with no apparent purpose. The hotel was very clean, but in much need of update. The shared bathroom was between two bedrooms, which worked for us since we were a family unit. There was a clawfoot bathtub with a shower that had fantastic water pressure, but it was encircled by shower curtains that made it feel small and closed in. The bed was the absolute best bed we had on our entire week of travel. It was the best sleep we had! Since no breakfast was served, we went north down the street to a small diner named Elida’s with an excellent, affordable breakfast menu. For a short overnight stay and an amazing low price, we would stay here again.
This place is great! Before booking, make sure you know that you're getting an old historical hotel with unique charm, not a modern hotel. Family run with an awesome crew and very nice owners. You'll probably be sharing a bathroom with other guests which is no big deal. Enjoy the small town and unique experience!
Old two story hotel. Clean, quiet. White noise air filter. One shared bathroom for the entire upstairs and the windows have been painted shut for many years. Lots of charter and part of the Depot restaurant 3 blocks North.
The new owners of this historic hotel have created a fresh and quirky, if somewhat chaotic environment. Located just off I25, this is a perfect over night stop along the interstate. They also just opened a restaurant down the street that may well become the best eats in town. I recommend if you like older properties and small western towns. Check out the Springer historic society building nearby during business hours.
My wife booked this place and she is more adventerous than I am. So at first i was a bit nervous but you know what? We really enjoyed our stay here. Beds so comfy and the staff is super friendly.
NOT your typical cold and corporate hotel stay....Don't expect an attempt to mimic a Motel 6 or super 8....very nice touches makes this historic hotel and fantastic place to stay....ESPECIALLY for large families.
The hotel is exactly as stated. An historic property with hardwood floors expected from the era. We were needing a bed for the night on a long roadtrip. It was just perfect. Clean, updated to suit our modern needs and still keep the charm of yesteryear. Wonderful common area with snacks and coffee. All self serve which was perfect for our early morning departure. The bed was very comfortable. Will stay again if passing through. Zayras restaurant in area was perfect for our dinner also!
Everything about my stay here was professional. The customer service from the lil receptionist was beside me!!! She was very professional and courteous every encounter that I had with her. The sevices were phenomenal i am very impressed with services that I received from this lil air bnb. The environment is very family oriented I highly recommend a stay here you just have to experience it for yourself to understand the depth of my gratitude to this establishment.

Didnt know that it was a shared bathroom until after checkin. I would have cancelled and driven an extra hour for a regular hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I did not complain to staff about the shared bathroom and just made it work.

There are many people who have overly inflated expectations of what a hotel stay should be. The Springer Station takes those expectations and turns them on their head with a very characterful and charming experience.
Sure, it's a shared bathroom place and the door knob on your room turns the wrong way but don't let that detract from the eclectic experience of staying in this historic building.
The staff were pleasant enough, busying themselves with Halloween trick or treaters that evening. The facilities in the hotel were good with excellent Wifi. Lots of food options to buy for good prices downstairs ($1 a soda)
The place was very quiet, not many folk staying this evening and I didn't see the owners / staff again after checking in but this never bothered me.
There was something strange about our one night stay here...I can't quite place it. Perhaps it was the quiet town, the emptiness of the place, the whole creaky floor old building deal? Who knows but I enjoyed my experience here none the less.
If you want something unusual and interesting then book this place but if you want a generic chain hotel experience - it's probably best to look elsewhere.
I for one, love something different and I won't forget about my stay in Springer Station Hotel.
