"We absolutely loved our stay at the Herbert House!! We were looking for a convenient, walkable location that was also quiet as we have a toddler. This place delivered!! We easily walked to downtown and restaurants but also enjoyed breakfast on site every morning. The family who runs this home is very sweet and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. For example the crib for our toddler was all set up and was a nice, cozy cot! Easy parking and a great place to come back to after we did the ring of Kerry! Don’t think twice - stay here!"
"A quaint old-fashioned-- in good ways-- hotel. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Nice that they have an onsite restaurant, bar and very large breakfast room -- complete with a nice hot breakfast (that even includes Bailey's 😁). And a lift/elevator. Only 2 complaints: 1). One must either drive or take a taxi into town-- no public transportation close by and (2) No A/C or fans. Overall, though, a lovely place to stay."

The breakfast buffets had a lot of choices. The lunch or dinner meals were delicious. I told the the wait staff that what I liked about the food was that it was served hot on warm plates. That allowed me to enjoy my meal, take my time without it getting cold before I finished. I thought the prices were reasonable."

"One of the best hotel stays we have ever had, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and that did not decline throughout our stay. The hotel itself is spectacular but its greatest asset is the staff. Polite and courteous, willing to take time to engage in conversation, from the doorman through to the cleaners, service in the restaurant and the bar second to none. I was allowed to keep my road bike in my room and the welcome pack of energy bars and supplements due to doing the Ring of Kerry Charity ride was a totally unexpected treat, that just goes to show how they make your stay personal. When we return to Killarney the Great Southern will be our hotel of choice."

"Thank you for hosting us! The house is really modern with country views outside. The house was really clean and comfortable. Its about 5 to 10mins to town but far away its really quiet. You will be extremely close to all major tourist places but the gap of dunloe is alil further. I highly recommend these accommodations you wont be disappointed. The purple mountains in the backyard was my favorite thing. "
