"Our family had a great weekend at the Sycamore Retreat. My kids (8, 12, 13) loved playing on the Lily Pad on the little lake and my son fished for hours. There are two beaches nearby, which we also enjoyed. The house is clean with plenty of space to spread out. Overall, it was the perfect weekend getaway. "

I understand it has been a hot summer, but then you need to let the renters know ahead of time to expect a hot house. Because the house was so hot, the freezer could t keep our items frozen. "The ambiance and overall experience was superb. A few things could use a spruce-up. (ie. replace the rusty shower curtain rod, perhaps larger bath towels). Otherwise, accommodations were quite satisfactory. The bar tender, Chris, at Fox & Hounds Tavern was spectacular!! All staff were cordial and attentive! We love The Cheshire, and it will remain our destination for our stays in St. Louis! "
