“All the staff (regardless of what time of day you interacted with them) were very pleasant and got along with one another. The longevity of their time working for The Super 8 in Dunbar is a testament to how they’re treated by management. I stayed at the other 2 hotels in Dunbar and the owner has a big turnover of staff. If you like black mold and questionable bookkeeping (ie., billing inflated) don’t reserve at the Super 8. If you like clean rooms and honest billing then the Super 8 is the place……

“Staff was friendly. Pool area looked really nice as did the fitness center and main entry. The hotel is advertised as 100% non-smoking, but our room smelled heavily of smoke. Perhaps the carpets need ripped out and replaced to eliminate the smell. It looked like our room had some updates, but other parts of it looked pretty worn. It was okay for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't want to stay there for more than that.”

“The room was great. The outside of the property was a bit run down and the area was so-so. But, that is also practical and expected for the price point. I had a good night's sleep and got back on the road the next day without any issues, so it was a good experience.”

“The front desk man was wonderful. Sorry I do not remember his name. He offered us a coupon for Texas Roadhouse which we walked there for dinner. Parking was well lit, room was clean but Hampton needs to upgrade their toilets. I thought I was falling, they are so low. Breakfast was hot and easy to navigate.”
