"We stayed here for 3 days to attend a family reunion in Buchanan, VA. The hotel has so much history and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We had a wonderful breakfast in the dining room one morning. The hotel is old but everything is in good working order. The only reason I gave a cleanliness score of 4 is I feel the elevator could use a good cleaning and spruce up. We enjoyed Natural Bridge State Park that is just across the street while we were there, also. I highly recommend a stay here."

"Perfect Hotel for Appalachian Trail Hikers I found the Super 8 to be the ideal spot for section and thru hikers of the Appalachian Trail. This hotel is conveniently close to the trail, making it a perfect base for adventurers. Additionally, the availability of washers and dryers was incredibly convenient for refreshing our clothes after long days on the trail. Don’t let the lack of cars in the parking lot fool you; many of the guests, like us, arrived on foot, straight from the trail. The staff was friendly and accommodating, understanding the unique needs of hikers. If you’re looking for a comfortable, hiker-friendly place to stay, this hotel is a fantastic choice!"
