“We had a very enjoyable stay at the Scone Arms. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and the improvements already completed look fantastic. Our room had been fully renovated and was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bar area has been completely updated and has a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. “We arrived at this hotel 29/07, upon arrival the receptionist was sitting down on a chair a fair distance away from the desk and didn't stand up. Checked us in. No pleasantries. She did not let us know when breakfast was, wifi details or what time we had to check out in the morning. We had to find this information online. We checked into room 241 and the heat within the room was horrific. We asked for a fan and thankfully maintenance was very helpful. However, the room could do with a revamp it……

“The hotel is in a beautiful setting with great views over the surrounding countryside and a well maintained golf course. Our room was fairly basic and a little shabby which we expected to be more polished for the price paid. The restaurants were good, particularly the breakfast, included in our rate, which had a good selection and was great value for money. The food at the Cairns restaurant for dinner was nice but the service was a bit disjointed. There was a lot of staff but still took a while……
