Lots of wilderness for us to explore, but still close to most of the items on our must see list.The kids loved the deer that would come up close to the cabin in the late evenings and early mornings and sit outside and watch them. Minutes from the town of Custer which has grocery store, tourist shops, and food options. Excellent location to Custer State Park, wild life loop, Sylvan lake, Legion lake, Mt Rushmore, and much more. The cabin was wonderful! Very clean, great patio for sitting, yard space for running around, and a very peaceful fire pit! Kitchen and gas grill were great for cooking our own meals. It was easy to find a few miles outside of Custer, SD. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed, including in the kitchen. Met Mary, the host, when she was prepping the other cabin onsite for new guests and had a nice time talking to her. We used the fire pit on our last night (there is a separate fire pit for each cabin) and had a great time together. There was even a container of water present to put out the fire when we were done. It was nice to have the conveniences of home (including Wifi) while being surrounded by such a beautiful natural setting. ##### Brian A.
