Aug stay
Stay was amazing (2 adults and 2 kids, 13 and 9). Just blocks from Kings beach and shops/restaurants. Loved having the hot tub in the evening to relax. There was noisy cars driving the street in the evenings which we are not accustomed to at all since we live in a rural community, but could just be our sensitivity. Was not enough to make us dislike the house. Would totally stay here again.

Good accommodations.
All was very good. Thenaccess code did not work so our arrival was met with 15 minutes locked out in the cold. You only get one chance at a first impression. This access should always be clear and concise and correct.

Great Get-away!
Second time we've stayed at the Lake House...it was wonderful as always and would recommend. The neighborhood is a bit noisy on weekday mornings but what can you do? Great proximity to the lake and main strip. Responsive when called to ask about how to operate item in house. Didn't have time for the hot tub but have in the past...nice! Would stay again for a Tahoe get-away!

Awesome location
Our family of 6 stayed here for a week in early January 2022. First, location is excellent. Half way between Diamond Peak and Northstar, and walking distance to the beach, park, restaurants, and Safeway. The home is nice and well equipped, and the bathrooms were updated. Having a garage to park in was a game changer, since it was very snowy while we were there. Unfortunately, the hot tub was broken for 5 of the 6 nights we were there, but we got one evening to enjoy it, and it was awesome. The washer/dryer worked OK though the dryer required 2-3 cycles to dry the clothes. I would stay here again, hopefully when the hot tub works.

Walking distance to downtown and beach, 3 car parking spaces, made trip simple and less stresses when traveling. House was clean and good floor plan for bedrooms/bathrooms and stocked well. House heated up a lot during the day and was hard to cool at night using multiple fans and opening windows, making it hard to sleep but we still enjoyed very much and we’re pleased with our first VRBO rental.

House is very nice and clean management worked with us very well checked on us to make sure we was OK Within walking distance to the lake only downfall is there was no privacy wall around the spa neighbors kept looking out the window at us that was spooky and uncomfortable Overall it was a nice place to say we will recommend to friends.

Clean and Safe Getaway
We needed a safe and fun getaway for the weekend- and are so glad we found this place! It is an easy walk to the lake, and there are places available for pick-up food. The neighbors are especially friendly and helpful. The rooms are set-up nicely, with plenty of room. The fireplace is amazing! It is set to the temp you want and then just takes care of the rest. We thought that the main room and kitchen was set-up with enough room for us to really relax and enjoy! We booked a few months ago, and at the time there was not a note regarding the hot-tub being unavailable. I even wrote a message to Vacasa about being excited about the hot-tub with some other questions, and the hot-tub was not addressed. It wasn't until the day we were leaving did we get the notice about no hot tub. I wish we would have been told, and we were still charged a $30 hot-tub fee. Another note for those traveling that are used to streaming- the internet works great, however the T.V. does not offer any streaming such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. This was not a dealbreaker for us, but wanted to share since other places I have rented had these amenities. Overall a great spot, and it hit the spot for these moms to have a nice weekend.

Good value but a little disappointed
We rented this home for 2 couples on a trip together. The layout is great with each bed and bath on separate floors but you can only get to the hot tub by walking through one of the bedrooms. We went snowboarding and mainly rented it for the hot tub and the filter was out and it would not turn on there were also wet cigarette butts on the porches and sound the spa. Would have rated higher if it weren’t for those two things

A great break for Thansgiving
We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, one of which leads to the backyard/hot tub. The 3rd on the second floor, along with kitchen and living room and deck. It snowed when we were there and the place stayed nice and warm. The only things that were a bit unclear was the shoveling of snow and driveway and if there is a service or done by the city. We ended up shoveling and then a snowplow came and did the driveway (we had parked in the garage). Other than this, there was a carbon monoxide alarm in the kitchen that went off, and we were slightly unclear on what to use for laundry soap when we started the towels before leaving (there was a ziplock bag with various pods - some instructions/labeling would be great for us powdered soap users). We handwashed the dishes, but didn't see any dishwasher soap. I think the only other concern we had was the temperature setting of the fridge froze our produce overnight so we lost a full bin of greens and some fruit. Would recommend marking where the fridge should be set to avoid this. Overall, very comfortable, warm, and inviting. Our family of 4 hunkered down for the snow, enjoyed the hot tub, and making some snowforts in the backyard. Thank you!

Family vacation
The house was great for our family’s summer vacation. It was clean, well stocked, comfortable and very family friendly. I can’t rate the spa, as we never opened it, we spent our time at at Kings Beach a short walk away. Location is really great to beach, grocery and restaurants. Only issue was the washing machine did not appear to agitate, I suggest a repairman visit.(I didn’t want to do laundry anyway!)

Great cabin
Very clean and taken care of. With some cabins there will be existing damage/ wear or defective stuff, not with this one. I think this cabin was about 1200 sq ft, but it felt a lot bigger because of the good layout I guess. No cons I can really think of. Would recommend or book again.

So close to a quality rental...
This is a very nice rental property that would be a great vacation option if only the owners put a little extra care into it. We spent a week over the summer in the property and were mostly focused on water sports and the beach. The location, while certainly on a rather loud street, is very close to the water and everything on offer in Kings Beach. The house is laid out nicely, with a great open kitchen, a spacious master bedroom upstairs, and two large bedrooms downstairs. There is a small patio off the kitchen and a very nice hot tub downstairs. We had a terrific week, so I really wish we could give the property a higher rating. Unfortunately the owners are selling the property and seem to have forgotten that there are still weekly renters in the house. Nothing overwhelming, but little things broken throughout the house. As noted by other reviewers, the couches are all ripped with stuffing spilling out. The blinds are all broken, so it is impossible to fully open them to let the sun in. And as noted by others, the beds are actually really uncomfortable. The property manager is very responsive and helpful - reimbursing me for fixing a broken room fan, purchasing another fan for the property, and buying long matches since the grill's ignition staters were not working - but it is really a pain to have to take care of these issues yourself. Lastly, we found it rather annoying and inappropriate that the realtor was in and out of the house throughout our vacation showing it to prospective buyers. Again, both the realtor and the property manager apologized for these intrusions, but the point is that a renter should not have to even deal with these annoyances during a vacation. With likely less than $1000 investment, the owners could make this into an outstanding rental property. But until they either put the extra money in or sell to new owners we would not rent this property again.

Not impressed
Enjoyed kings beach, but as far as the rental. It was alright. Would not rent it again. Due to the beds and the couches. Liked the living room a lot, but the couches are old and uncomfortable. But the beds are the real problem. They were the most uncomfortable beds that's any of us have slept on! We got absolutely zero sleep! I also feel that the cleaning fee was ridiculous! The top bedrooms bed comforter was dirty. There was no washer or dryer. I just feel for the amount we paid, we should have got a lot more!

The house was great. Liked the layout and amenities provided.
When we arrived later than our check in time, the house had not been cleaned. I called the management company and was told they would send someone out right away. Two hours later we had heard nothing so I called again. I was then informed that they wouldn't be able to send a cleaning crew out until the following day. We washed sheets and towels and made it presentable for the rest of our stay. The management company did reimburse us a portion of our cleaning fee.

Location... Location!
One huge thing our family absolutely adored with this place was the location. The house was set in a pretty busy neighborhood but that didn't bother us at all. The house was a quick, no less than ten min walk to the beach. Which was nice because unfortunately the whole entire neighborhood was under construction and the road was closed for the first two days we were there. I don't want to put this in my review because I know this has nothing to do with the house, but the day we arrived there was mass construction going on. I realize that with winter, the majority of road work will be done in the summer but they started as early 6am. It was beyond frustrating. There should have been a warning from Vacasa or at least some sort of credit to offer for the hassle. Luckily for us the road paving and constructed ended the second day we were there. It was 1,000 times nicer to enjoy the house with things so quiet. Another issue we had was the hot tub. The first time I opened the hot tub I noticed a ton of sand and dirt at the bottom I read extensively that if the hot tub was dirty I would be charged an extra cleaning fee. I wrote an email right away to make aware the hot tub was never cleaned upon our arrival. The beds were not very comfortable but everything was clean and our family did enjoy our stay. There was one bedroom upstairs and two downstairs with both bathrooms being good size. The washer and dryer was very nice and made things great for doing laundry. The place specified there were games but we couldn't find a single game that had all the pieces together. The kitchen was big and the living room was a good size with lots of seating. We used the BBQ which worked great also. All in all I would refer this place to a friend, granted that there is no construction in the area.

Overall the rental served its purpose
When we first arrived, we thought the address was wrong because in the picture on VRBO, the house appeared secluded in the timber which was not the case. The house is down a street which runs through a rough appearing area and is surrounded by houses . The neighborhood was noisy and the yard was in horrible condition. Upon entering the home which supposedly had just been cleaned, there was a horrible smell. The garbage disposal was broke with old food in it. The floors were filthy and sticky . They do charge a cleaning fee but aren't getting their money's worth . The downstairs shower head was broke and the master bath had no plug. We did notify the management office of these issues including garbage disposal and they did send someone who didn't fix either issue. After contacting them again , no one came. Now on a positive note.... The hot tub was amazing!! The overall condition of the house was ok. The provided utensils need upgraded as they looked almost too worn to use. This could be a case of you get what you pay for. The location in general was walking distance to restaurants and the beach . I personally hate dirty so that was my biggest issue

Decent house, but not enough clean towels and heating is hard to control
Pros: The house is mostly as described and pictured, with clear instructions about how to access the house, wifi, what amenities to expect, etc., well ahead of time, which I really appreciated. The location is convenient and close to restaurants and bars in Kings Beach, which itself is a great location that's right on the lake. The hot tub is great and was already heated when we got there, so we got to enjoy it right away. The common area upstairs is great, with a fireplace and comfortable couches. Overall the house is quite clean and well maintained. Cons: The information we got ahead of time indicated that bath towels will be provided, but when we got there we could only find 1 clean towel that is a good size for showering or hot-tubbing. There were plenty of clean face towels and hand towels, but no more than 1 clean bath towel. We also had problems with controlling the fireplace and heating. It would be great if the pertinent instructions could be made more clear.
