The Dixie Walesbuilt Hotel from 1926 resides today, abandoned but in some state of rehabilitation in downtown Lake Wales, Florida.

The hotel was said to be a favorite of the infamous Al Capone because of its extensive network of underground tunnels that exist to this day.

"This was a great resort we stayed in the condos and it was 3bd/3bth full kitchen waterpark access the whole time and neighborhood pools. It was amazing not far from Walmart or Publix and food everywhere "

"The place was beautifully decorated and very clean. Great location with lots of places to eat nearby. Beautiful pool. Bathrooms were a little worn and water. Pressure was not great. Communication with owner wasn’t great either."

"The unit had adequate space for our party. The kids enjoyed the pool in the backyard, even though it is small. The community has two separate pool areas and waterslides that are fun for the kids. There was not a large pot/pan to cook for our large party so we had to purchase our own. The listing shows five single beds in the Mickey room, but it only has two. We were asked to stay in a different unit on the first night, which we agreed to, however, communication with the host The next day was...

"Had a good time with the fellas, didn’t have any problems with the location, had to give a security deposit which was unheard of to me but I was understanding about it, waiting to get that back though. "

"We were 2 families with teenagers staying for 18 nights at this property, it was well situated and the resort was a good addition to use, supermarket was only 5 mins drive away, villa was well equipped, a few bits that would have been very useful but we have notified the owner of this, was great to relax at the villa in the evenings after being at the parks, pool and spa very nice, good communication, we’ve had a fab holiday"
