“Gorgeous property, quiet and serene, loved sleeping to the rain. It is clear this place was a labor of love to build and is well maintained. The volcanoes national park was 5 mins away and so convenient. The little “town” of Volcano had good restaurants and art center. Would love to come back!”

Erich and Suzy were super kind and helpful with recommendations for things to do and places to go. The pool was fantastic and breakfast was delicious. “Outside shower was pleasant experience once I got used to idea! Walk to lava beach on property was extraordinary experience. Breakfast Food was excellent. Hosts were generous, kind and thoughtful. Lack of central air was disappointing but numerous fans helped a lot and open screened windows let breezes in. Still humid though. Loud Background noise of night critters was not a problem. Actually soothing and comforting after a day of traveling. ”

“Had a very pleasant stay at Jenipher and Davidʻs home. Jenipher communicated well and responded to all questions/concerns. The studio was fully stocked with amenities galore! Very clean, inviting and peaceful. I heard the coqui frogs at night but didn’t mind or lose sleep over it. Loved the interior local decor and cool relaxing colors. I was allowed to bring my cat too (I brought my own kitty’s supplies) which I appreciated very much! ”

My family emigrated from the Philippines to Kauai and eventually settled in Oahu. I had never been to the Big Island so when my sister suggested we visit I said OKAY.
