The Villas are a great location. This one is an end unit which is nice.
The first thing we noticed walking in was that the deck furniture is old, but functional. The door to the unit is rusty and worn.
Upon entering, the first thing you notice is the musty smell. The whole house felt damp. The carpets need to be replaced.
Upstairs in particular had an odor that never dissipated. The sheets on the upstairs beds were soaked so we did not use those beds. I assume they were soaked from humidity, though perhaps they were put on without having been dried properly. We could not get the upstairs slider to work so we were not able to use that deck.
The shower in the master bath is very moldy. While the kitchen was superficially clean, if felt a little skeevy. The kitchen pans were so warped that they were practically unusable. The cluster of electrical wires in plain view to the right of the TV was unattractive.
Coming home in the evening, the stairs are pitch black. There should be some lighting on them. Thankfully my cell phone has a flashlight.
My wife saw a cockroach on our last day.
The A/C worked well, which was nice. The shower curtain in the second bathroom was clean. The golf cart worked well.
The washer and dryer in the garage could use a good cleaning, but they worked fine.
It’s too bad, because we saw another unit that was comparably priced and which was in much better shape.
