Had all sorts of unnecessary fees you have to pay for parking and it’s two blocks away from the hotel and if you want a valet parking, it’s a ridiculous amount charged per day. So if you do the self park which is 35$ a day plus fees and taxes you have to park far away from the hotel and walk. They charge you an extra resort fee and give you a little card that’s just discounts. Can’t do anything about it even if you don’t use any of the discounts which would require you to purchase unnecessary items. Overall, the stay was horrible, and I only had one out of the four team members that I spoke with that was halfway nice to us. Everyone else gave us attitude like we were below them. They also charge you a $500 deposit and no matter what you’re not getting that deposit back because you have to pay for parking. There were damages to the room that we brought to the attention of the team members because they were trying to blame us for it.It was a horrible experience and if you’re a Hilton Honors member, you will not get points for booking through Expedia just FYI.

So this is the bad: 1. AC went out first night 2. Fridge had to be replaced first night 3. Overcharged me for parking 4. Self parking pass didn’t work after overcharging ( pass is like a room key) 5. Pool water is super hot. 6. Self parking area is small 7. Can’t select hours for renting beach equipment 8. Walls are super thin 9. Unexpected fees, like 30 dollars to park daily, and 50 dollars a day resort fees. The good: 1. Beautiful property 2. Good food for breakfast (especially Sherise) 3. Friendly staff 4. Amazing private beach access 5. Lots of family activity to do 6. Starbucks coffee free all the time 7. Sprinkles cafe is good for a small breakfast. Yes the bad out weighed the good, but it was a nice resort. Wish that fees would have been explained for the resort fees. Expedia and Henderson should work together to have this as a prepaid thing. Then to pay for parking every day is crap. And the taxes to stay there are a bit ridiculous also. The primrose has a good buffet breakfast. Just do that, cause the other breakfast items are eh. And if you can get Ms. Sherise as your server, do so cause she is awesome. Overall we did enjoy our stay, but mostly cause of the beach and events we did. Not because of the Henderson.

While the hotel was clean, many repairs are needed: peeling paint, rusty shower parts, clogged toilet. The front desk advertises beach chair and umbrella rentals but guests have to carry them to the beach and set them up on their own. Also, the lounge chairs advertised are not what you actually get. What you do get is a low seated beach chair that looked old and dirty. Our toilet got clogged one day and we called the front desk and were told to come down and get a plunger. When asked if the plunger could be brought to our room, we were told that they don’t do deliveries. When we asked for someone to come check the toilet, we were told there was no one available. I was disappointed with my stay as I don’t feel it aligned at all with the recent reviews that I read on Expedia.
