“This hotel had just reopened, they were clearly not ready. The lifts don’t work or intermittently work when it comes to room we had to have two rooms first room had paint flaking away from the ceiling. Mosquitoes TV didn’t work. Phone didn’t work really bad. Second room better but again issue with mosquitoes Beach really long way way to walk no bar service on the beach in an all-inclusive hotel, swimming pool very noisy main pool and not clean. The other pool was very quiet and no atmosphere.……

“This hotel was not as Jamaican friendly/ catered much for authentic Jamaicans based on my experience. As an authentic Jamaican back home to vacation , the food was trash! Unfortunately that is what I was looking forward to the most. The beef served one of those nights was so tough, oh my gosh! Customer service for the most part was good. A young lady by the vegetarian bar was rude one day, not in what she said, but with her tone, and mannerism. It is good that the hotel has many activities……

“After researching online and reading tons of reviews for many hotels, resorts, and bnb's in and around Ocho Rios, we booked a 6-night stay at Sand and Tan, and I'm so incredibly glad we did!

This hotel is right on the beach and has all of the basics. Our room was exactly as advertised and clean. Basic housekeeping was included. Small fridge, microwave, AC that worked great, WIFI that had no issues, hair dryer, safe, and an ironing board. Nothing……

“With the possible exception of some places in Italy, I have NEVER been to such a child-friendly environment. The staff were incredible and made us feel like home. It was like staying in a Jamaican uncle's house on the beach. We will definitely go back!”
