"Cliffnotes version; Thursday June 11th (tornado warnings) Couldn't get into room until after 8pm (check in 3pm) Desk staff horrendous, on her personal phone while telling me 'there are no rooms available' (due to they're not ready...left that part out) Room was musty (AC was off on a 94degree day, not even the fan to circulate) No shuttle call, had to go to the lobby '5 minutes early' for the desk to call and then wait for the shuttle...forget that extra half hour of sleep you could have gotten, especially of the 4 hours of sleep we finally got once in the room. 2/5 stars 4/10stars."

"Clean and maintained property. It looks like the rooms have been remolded recently. I stay in “hotel block” off Cicero often. I will say this location was very close to the street which is a little more noisy than other hotels."

"Super convenient location to downtown. Also right next to Hmart, subway station. so convenient for everything you need! Although shared washrooms and showers, but very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The gentlemen at reception even helped my senior mom to carry the luggage upstairs to the room. Definitely recommend this place."

"Received a message from the hotel in advance that, among other details, parking is available in the garage across the courtyard. Arrived, pulled into garage and into a hotel designated spot in the garage. But at check-in was told all hotel spots were reserved, no more were available, and I needed to move my vehicle. There was no such detail in the advance information -- and it seems pretty important. Also, there was no way to lock/secure the bathroom door."

"The website photos are straight up lies. The words that come to mind for the establishment are dilapidated, dank, poorly constructed, cheap. The ‘fitness center’ consists of two treadmills and a clearly broken cable machine (the cords were loosely strewn all over), half of the ‘breakfast’ was either out of stock or out of order, and trash/ materials meant to be stored away were out and about, obstructing walkways. In my own room, the sliding shower door was improperly installed and would not remain closed, so the shower was effectively the entire bathroom. They *diluted* the hand soap with either water or another thinning agent, the wooden ‘cabinetry’ from the photos was a skeletal shelving unit purchased from some discount retailer, and the blinds meant to keep the floodlights out had no way to adjust them, as the cord had been removed/broken at some point. The best part was when the storm knocked out the power around 8:30 pm. This motel consists of two buildings- the other building’s power returned before 1 am. The building I was in never restored power, despite every other building in the area getting it back. The room and building was powerless until after I checked out the following morning. The food I bought to save money went bad, and had no way to shower/clean or charge my electronics overnight. Not exactly easy to navigate Chicago without your map available. If there were l an avenue to appeal for a refund, I absolutely would. A joke of an establishment."
