Overall our stay was good. We were there to visit family. The property has high-end finishes and is a really nice house. The bottom level is outside (nice car port) and the main house is the second floor. I wish the lake level was up like it looks in the main photos so the water was at the property making it an actual “lake front property”. If we had been there for the lake, I would have been upset bc I didn’t fully understand that there was no water near us until we arrived. However, with it being dried up, it did allow us to explore the lake bed and all around the area where it would normally be covered with water. We found some cool rocks and it became our main activity each morning and evening, hiking around the dried up lake bed.
High points:
- clean home with high-end finishes - flooring, doors, appliances, furniture - all of it so nice
- beautiful home all around for a lake house
- open concept kitchen, living room and dining has space for more than 6
- large counter space with plenty of space to sit at the bar and nice, clean appliances
- sleep number bed in master bedroom (which was a surprise!)
- quick hot water and plenty of it
- blackout shades on every window
- nice tvs in both the living room and master
- all the light switches were labeled which was helpful
- plenty of fans and lighting
- air purifier/noise for sleeping (awesome!) in both bedrooms
- stays cool even with over 100 degree days
Low points:
- no water in the lake area - you must drive to a completely different part of the lake for the lake/water portion (hopefully it goes back up soon)
- bathroom configuration was interesting. 2 bathrooms but one is outside and downstairs separate. This is great so you don’t have to trek up the stairs to clean off after swimming or fishing but we assumed the 2 bathrooms were inside with the bedrooms
- Also, the two bedrooms are connected by the bathtub space. Each has their own sink with doors so you can access them while someone is in the shower. But the toilet is in another separate section. This makes for a lot of doors and was interesting when trying to get ready or use the toilet. To wash your hands you go to the kitchen or around to one of the sinks through the maze of doors. I think the overall configuration needs some reworking…Just a lot of doors in a very small area and we got lost a couple of times.
- they had games both inside and outdoors but no gear to use like a basketball or darts
