The room was clean and looked as if it had been recently renovated, comfy bed. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and very nice. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The hotel is currently undergoing much needed external renovation works. The stair carpet badly needs renewed.

Recommended Barrow hotel

Small but free off street covered parking adjacent to hotel. Hotel is clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was more than satisfactory and bed comfortable

Served our purpose very well for one night

It met our requirements; staff very friendly and responsive (receptionist Molly even working gamely through feeling plainly unwell); obviously refurbishment isn't complete yet but that did not impact our stay. Breakfast better than expected - hot food good and plentiful, continental offerings fine if arranged in quite a basic way, but no complaints!

Bedroom was spotlessly clean and bright with new fittings and very efficient shower. Corridor on second floor also very clean with new carpet. Breakfast offered a good selection on self-service and hot food to order. Reception very clean and efficient with lift to the second level. Still some modernisation work going on including a new carpet required for the stairs.

Arrived late evening and was met by a very friendly receptionist, who sorted out everything very quickly. The property is being upgraded and therefore has building going on, how's the room was of a really good standard and very clean. I was very impressed. The breakfast was good and had a good choice. Will use again and definitely recommend it.

Recommended - friendly, clean and comfortable.

On night stay for a football game. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment and so the front is covered in scaffolding and the halls and stairways are certainly more than a little tired That said the staff were exceptionally friendly, the room itself was clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi was strong, the shower was hot and the breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again

Great staff

The staff were all wonderful. So friendly and helpful. The lady who was on the night time reception was just amazing! Because of the staff, I would book again. Yes, the hotel badly needs refurbished, but renovations were being done. I look forward to seeing the place when they are completed. Breakfast was good.

Hotel has obviously come a long way, rooms and reception looks great, hallways and bar need a recarpet which is coming and scaffolding on front will come down. Will be a great hotel as soon as it's finished, great staff, really helpful. Car park is small but there's free parking opposite overnight and you can move your car in the morning it's fine. Would recommend

The hot is having improvement works being done. The rooms are well presented and have everything needed. The bed was okay, I didn't particularly find the bed comfortable but could have been me. Breakfast the first day was fine though they did get my breakfast wrong, a couple of others were similar, the second day was fine. You can still see the areas still to be updated but does look like well on the way. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Expedia did not tell us this property was under dvelopment when we booked. The room was fine, but there were no other facilities on site except breakfast. Thankfully. Barrow is a fairly dead town although we still had fun there. The staff were friendly too so that was a bonus.

Great value for money and in good condition. The only negative was how small the ‘double’ bed was which was also pushed up right against a wall. Fine for 1 person but very snug for 2.
