“We loved every minute of our stay at El Colonial. Because we booked through Expedia (we think?), we had access to the unlimited open bar in reception, but the main perk of that was the bartenders! Friendly, knowledgeable, interesting -- talking to the bartenders and hearing about PR was literally the highlight of our trip. Also, wonderfully, the way the light hit our particular room meant that, in the mornings, there was a camera obscura projection of the street outside onto our roof! 100/10……

“Beautiful, roof top sitting with a view of the city, I looove the coffee options from the complimentary coffee machine. Check-in was a breeze, young lady at the front desk was nice, room was clean, bed was a bit creaky but comfy, toiletries and complimentary water were available. Walking distance to many restaurants, store, sights and sounds of Old San Juan. Only downside for the room I booked is that there's not much space if u have a lot of bags or a big bag. It was a good for a solo traveler……
