We booked our stay initially for the Lantern Festival but also visited the Kitchen Kettle Village as suggested by our hosts David and Ester who are both very kind. We were going to visit their farm and buggy ride the following day but we were all tuckered out from exploring and the festival. (It gives us a reason to return!) Instead, we grabbed a bite at the Speckled Hen (which is also kid / family friendly) has cool playground and headed back...

"Cute apartment within a five minute walk of downtown area. The street is quiet with lots of lovely gardens in people’s yards. Perfect for visiting any of the area colleges. "

"The kitchen is well-provisioned, with a drip coffee maker and a pod system. The host even supplied multiple coffee pods. The living/dining area has plenty of comfortable seating, and the large-screen TV and internet work just fine. There is a welcome binder that explains how to get to the clothes washer and dryer in the basement. Plenty of restaurant choices within 1 and 2 miles. I look forward to return!"

"Loved the welcome goodies. Extremely clean. Very quiet neighborhood. Owners were absolutely fantastic, desiring to help make our stay perfectly comfortable, including with their friendliness. Julie even same day shipped us an iron and ironing mat! I enjoyed playing Jim Croche's records in the living room while visiting with family. We used all appliances in the kitchen without a problem. "My friend and I were in Reading to attend the Night Lights lantern festival. We found this little gem and it was perfect for our overnight stay. The apartment was clean, cozy and well stocked. The beds and couches were comfy and the outside patio was fantastic to have morning coffee overlooking the quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The decor was tasteful and charming making us feel right at home. Overall a very nice VRBO - thank you!"
