Very good for dogs - there is a paddock where they can roam freely and the owners thoughtfully provide poo bags! We stayed four nights during the September heatwave and the cottage stayed nice and cool during the day. The shower was a bit underpowered, but there was plenty of hot water for baths, washing up, etc. The quaint local towns of Llantwit and Cowbridge are a short drive away, and offer plenty to do and see. The farm shop at Cowbridge is great, with a cafe and play equipment for kids. The dog exercise/ picnic area was very handy. Well equipped and log burner was the perfect touch for a cool Autumn night. Short walk down quiet lane to lovely welcoming pub with great Sunday Lunch. Great walks in the area along the coast. We were in Wren cottage which was perfect for us as we have a little dog and this is one of two of the cottages which has a garden and a spectacular view. This is definitely the place to go to get away from it all but still be within easy reach of Cardiff Bay which is beautiful to visit. John and Sian are the perfect hosts ( living the perfect life, in my opinion :) ) and could not do enough for us.
