"Wifi was slow, The beds need to be changed... Worn out. The food at the hotel was hit n miss.. Don't order the shrimp poboy unless you want frozen shrimp that taste like fried chicken. The Staff was amazing from the front desk,bell hop, to the valet parking."

"The room reeked of marijuana. Our floor (12) was without hot water for showers. Staff notified by us and at least one other patron, next day nothing had been done. The valet parking pick up took im excess of a half hour after we gave them our claim ticket. This is an Embassy Suites not a Motel 6 and honestly I expect more. "

"I was disappointed with how my reservation was handled by one staff member. I had communicated with the hotel about a roll away and they graciously said it would be noted in our reservation as well as our desire for an early check in. They said to stop in and check. I did so. The staff member was short with me and said we would receive a text when the room was ready. We never did. We went back an hour later and I had my husband approach her to see if there would be a difference. Absolutely. She was kind and welcoming and got us our room. Unfortunately he didn’t know about the roll away so I had to go back and ask if a roll away was able to be put in our room. She said curtly that if it isn’t in the reservation notes she wouldn’t know. I stated that I had communicated with the hotel and she condescendingly said that I should just go to my room and if it wasn’t there then call and they would take care of it. It was a tough way to start a vacation and her obvious difference in hospitality for my husband va me was odd. Our room was large and there was no roll away, tho they did find the note in our reservation and sent one up. The lighting in the hotel is lacking. The style is great and the shower is incredibly slippery so if anyone has accessibility issues it may be a bit daunting. This is not a hotel we will return to, tho the location was great. "

"Valet/parking is 3rd party but charged and paid to the hotel. Basic continental breakfast. Room smelled of mildew/sewer. Tub drained SLOW by the time you finished a shower you'd have 3 inches of standing water. Then my bank (Chase) locked my debit card due to a repetitive attempt of $311 charge from Mercantile. Upon check in you are charged the $50/night valet and $100 incidental+ tax ($255+). My booking was expedia/third party. So no reason for an attempted $311 charge. After calling chase bank, unlocking my card within the hour my card was locked again for an additional attempt. The desk clerk acted like she had no idea or control. The second time chase bank customer service verified the attempts were based directly from the Mercantile. All in all booking/valet comes out to $330+ night for a very basic king room, with room service/housekeeping only available after 3 nights stay. Stayed in Feb of 2025 had a much better experience.. will be staying next door at embassy next month. "

"Stayed during Mardi Gras. The parade is just across the street. You can ask uber dropped you at the back street residence to avoid traffic. Old but nice & with hotel character."
