Loved the layout and how cozy it felt. The back porch was even fenced off so my dog could go out there. It was within walking distance to Big Bear Mountain (about a 13 minute walk) which made snowboarding early very easy. We did have a problem with no hot water coming from the shower, but the owner was immediately responsive and had someone come out to fix it very quickly. Overall it was a great stay and very dog friendly. Clean accommodations, Nice toiletry products, great outdoor private patio spa hot tub, fun game room with pool table, shuffle board table and vintage arcade games ( the adults liked, the kids were not amused) . Kids loved the bunk beds, extra blankets very helpful for a cozy night. Cons: the master bed mattress was so-so, the bed pillows lumpy and cheap, bring an eye mask if you need a dark room for sleeping, the kitchen pots and pans need an upgrade-used too long, burned out light bulbs and broken random lamps here and there, not enough seating at the dinning table ( only seats 4 people at dinner table). The cabin did not have enough towels for 7-8 people to shower and use the spa/1 large towel per person. Overall, very pleasant stay 4 out of 5 stars. I would book again for the ‘average rate’ weekends for this cabin. Caution on the value of the cabin if booking a high season rate.
