Perfect spot in Custer, and was just 15-20 min away from most places we visited, CSP, Wind Cave, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, etc. We did take a day and travel to Devils Tower which was around 2 hours away, stopped at Spearfish canyon and Deadwood on way back. It was close enough in town to walk to the little shops, and just a 2 minute drive to the laundry mat. Kitchen had all the necessary items we needed. The outside area was wonderful, with deer visiting the garden every day. It is located in a quiet area but very close to walk into Custer. We had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. We didn't cook so cannot comment on the kitchen facilities, it would be a good addition to have a kettle so we could enjoy our cafetiere of coffee in the morning without having to boil water in a pan. The living room is not very welcoming and we could only get 1 channel on the TV. We found the silverware was dirty & needed washing. Everything else was clean. The front yard is lovely.
