"The property was in good shape for the most part. The patio door would stick probably due to moisture expanding the door. Also, there was some water damage to the bottom of the door frame in the bathroom. I know from my own experience that if the bathroom door frame is not sealed, bugs would love to make a home there with the added moisture from the shower."

"Nice place, clean and comfortable. Hard to find the room since the number is obscure. The continental breakfast is pretty bad. A small muffin and an attendant that doesn't want to be there. It doesn’t take much to buy some cereal, pastries and fruit. And something to drink for people who don’t drink coffee."

"This hotel is a great location. Previously it was a Marriott. They have redone the pool area and the lobby. The lobby bar is great and the roof top when opened. The food is passable but not great. I always come back for the location across from Doheny camp ground and beach access."

"This is an outstanding place to stay! My daughter and I loved every minute of being there. We loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves. The bedrooms were so nice. The kitchen was great. Everything was clean, and the suite was so cozy! The staff was fabulous and super accomadating! The only bad thing about this place is that it is popular and hard to book another stay. :-("

"A uniquely historic home, furnished in a Spanish historic manner. - a cool find for SoCal. Very good location - it seemed like we were always going up and down Golden Lantern, just a block away. Well-stocked kitchen. Always nice to have breakfast on the upper deck."

"I can’t say enough about how beautiful this property is and the attention to detail for any guest’s needs. I hope we have the opportunity to use this property again. The only thing that was missing was beach access but I think that will change in the not too distant future."
