Checkin und Checkout haben reibungslos funktioniert. Der Aufenthalt an sich war gut, aber es fehlt dem Häuschen ein wenig an Zuwendung. Der Terassengarten lädt auf Grund von Unkraut und Laub nicht wirklich zum Verweilen ein. Grill war noch mit Asche vom Vorbesitzer voll. Im Essbereich kommt der Fussboden auf Grund eines Wasserschadens hoch. Aber man darf halt nicht vergessen dass es ein rund 150 Jahre altes Haus ist.Küche und Bad sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Aber es ist trotzdem empfehlenswert Nicholas und sein Häuschen zu besuchen.

Cosy house in a great location, we really enjoyed our stay

Unusual and very cosy little house. Well equipped kitchen and great coffee! Comfortable beds. Nicolas was very easy to communicate with and very flexible when we needed to move the date - thank you. Some parts of the house were a little dusty, and it would have been nice to have a welcome note, instructions, where to park and the permit more obvious, as well as clearer what we could use (e.g food in the cupboards, a welcome bottle of wine/basic ingredients..but actually there was lots in the cupboards but could we use or not?) But overall we had a great time, very relaxed and would recommend as a great spot to explore Edam and the area. Thank you

Great accommodations and close to Amsterdam

We had our wonderful time at Nicholas home in Edam. The home was well equipped to make meals from home, everything was comfortable, and the neighborhood was exceptionally beautiful. It was close to the bus station, which allowed us to go to Amsterdam easily. Nicholas is a very nice and kind host and was a great communicator. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Sehr hübsches kleine Häuschen

Ist ein kleines hübsches Häuschen mit Charme und Stil. Neues Bad, neue Küche. War für uns vollkommen ausreichend. Das einzige was nicht ganz so toll ist, ein Schlafzimmer ist ein Durchgangszimmer und ein anderes nur für Kinder geeignet. Wenn es uns mal wieder in diese Ecke verschlägt werden wir uns es wieder mieten.

Schönes Ferienhaus und gut ausgestattet

Wir waren zu fünft (zwei Erwachsene, drei Kinder) und haben uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Bäckerei (zu Fuß) und Lebensmittelmarkt (mit dem Auto) in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Amsterdam ist gut mit dem Bus oder Auto erreichbar. Küche und Bad sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nous avons passé le week end et rien à dire à part que tout était au top !! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés (pas trop tout de même car les rues sont assez étroites)

Nettes Haus im Herzen von Edam

Das Häuschen ist sehr individuell eingerichtet und für Kinder ein wahres Spielparadies. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und Nicolas ist ein angenehmer Gastgeber, der rührend um uns bemüht war. Das Haus ist ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt um Nordholland zu erkunden. Strände und spannende Ausflugsziele sind mit Fahrrad und Auto in kurzer Zeit erreicht. Beeindruckt waren wir von der Anbietung in die Hauptstadt. Einziges Manko: Die Terrasse war leider für uns aufgrund einer Mückeninvasion nicht nutzbar.

Great location in Edam

We stayed here with another couple and we all loved it. Everything we needed, plus perfect location. Frequent buses to Amsterdam. Two things to keep in mind though: if you are in the bedroom facing the street you have to walk through the other bedroom to go downstairs where the bathroom is. And if you aren’t good with steep narrow stairs this isn’t the place for you. But we are all over 70 and we didn’t mind.

What an unbelieavable place to stay!

Our family of 5 had such a wonderful time in Edam at Nicolas' beautiful, unique home. The town of Edam is so picturesque; in hindsight we wish we would have spent more time there than we did in Amsterdam. The house was extremely comfortable and roomy, and the bathroom is top-notch. Edam is small enough and walkable enough that it's so easy to get around and check it all out. Nicolas was incredibly helpful with the check-in process and communications. HIGHLY encourage anyone who is coming to Amsterdam to consider staying here. You will get I believe a more authentic Dutch experience.

Bachelor Pad

This house is not very conducive for a family of 3. It was a cute home, perfect Dutch experience with a great location. However it was not super functional. The beds were comfortable however the little girls room was the attic, so the door was small to enter the room. The stairs were steep and hard to bring luggage up. The doors to the bathroom were way to big and not at all functional. Did not fit the space. It was quite obnoxious to have them there. Some of the lights were out and not working. The oven was also not working so we could not do any cooking from home.

Tolles Häuschen in Edam

Das alte holländische Häuschen ist richtig gemütlich; es ist ganz ruhig dort und trotzdem verkehrstechnisch gut angebunden. Nicolas ist ein ganz prima und unkomlizierter Vermieter! Wir kommen gerne wieder! :-)

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Haus mit guter Anbindung ans Meer und Amsterdam und haben dieses Haus von Nicolas in Edam gefunden. Es hat eine perfekte Bus Anbindung und liegt ganz romantisch am Fluss. Leider sind sehr viele Spinnen in der Gegend und außen um das Haus. Innen war jedoch alles sauber, sehr modern und super ausgestattet. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt.

Location à recommander pour un très bon séjour

Très belle maison typique, décorée avec goût, dans un secteur calme et familial. A 30 mn du centre d'Amsterdam. Commerces à proximité. Nicolas est un hôte très agréable, de bons conseils et accueillant. De plus il parle français ! Coup de coeur sur cette location où nous ne manquerons pas d'y revenir.

Great time in Edam

We enjoyed our stay in Nicolas' beautiful, comfortable home very much. It was very well located near supermarkets and the bus station, where you can take several buses for a trip to Amsterdam (journey time about 30-40 minutes). We would come back!

Très beau séjour

Nous sommes rentrés d'Edam la tête emplie de merveilleux souvenirs. Notre hôte Nicolas a fait le maximum pour nous rendre le séjour agréable.(d'autant plus qu'il parle parle Français ayant vécu son enfance dans le sud ouest) Cette petite maison idéalement située dans le bourg d'Edam, un village hautement touristique qui a gardé toute son authenticité nous a parfaitement convenue, elle est le gite idéal pour 2 couples qui rêvent de s'éloigner de qq kilomètre du tumulte de la capitale ! Merci encore à toi Nicolas pour ton charmant accueil ;)
