This guest house has lots of things going for it - good convenient location,nice spacious rooms, nice decor etc., but is let down by the little but important things that matter to travellers. For example:
1/ the room was not cleaned properly when we arrived, the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied and there were piles of hair in the shower
2/ there was only one small cake of soap and one sachet of shampoo provided in the bathroom for the two of us. The soap was not replaced until our fourth day when we had literally worn it out.
3/ there were instructions provided for a clock radio but no clock radio ; likewise no other niceties like biscuits etc. there was one hand towel provided and no face washers.
4/ not only did the hotel deduct one nights accommodation from my credit card (instead of just putting through a pending payment) prior to us arriving, they also charged me 3% extra for the privilege. As a non- UK cardholder I don't enjoy paying with my credit card and suffering the FX fees and surcharges.
