“This hotel is great! friendly and helpful staff, clean and large room (the quality is particularly amazing given the low price), and it is walkable to the Ringling mueseum. The only thing I am not that satisfied is the strong smell of disinfectant in the room. Will definitely consider this place once I visit Sarasota again.”

“I reported the AC issue on the first day. I was told it was functioning normally, but the constant noise made it difficult to rest. We stayed three nights before being moved, and I feel that significantly affected our stay Furthermore, they knew perfectly well that the air conditioning in that room wasn't working properly, yet they still allowed the guest to stay there.”

“The staff was amazing and nice. The property looks prettier in pictures. The rooms were really run down, did not have iron and ironing board, had to request and they have limited office hours, so glad we caught that early enough. The kitchenette did not have a working stove top and we had plans to make dinner, bought food and couldn’t cook. Had to wait till the next day to get a h plug in hot plate which ruined our plans and cooked the next day to keep food from being wasted as it was fresh……

“Rumfish is a bit older and outdated. Rooms are older, we had outlets that didn't work, sinks that leaked. Overall it wasn't bad, but the price was high for what it actually is. We spent more time at neighboring resort. At Rumfish, Hallways are dirty, I saw staff looking at a water fountain that leaked on the carpeted floor and it wasn't fixed during our staff - they just let is leak. Beach bar ran out of beer. But the staff are great, very nice, beach is really nice. Pools are small. ……

“They provide free bottles of water at the front desk, which was a great perk as you can go back as many times as you need to during your stay. I loved the Saturday morning yoga class by the pool! This hotel has A LOT of charm and that makes up for the tiny bathrooms. (Because it is a very old building, the rooms are small but they really leaned in to the retro feeling. Each floor has a lounge area if you need some more space to sit and relax.) The only complaint I had was that the……

“The facility and staff were excellent. My only gripe is the mandatory valet parking. I like to have access to my vehicle at all times. Otherwise, a top notch facility. I would definitely recommend it.”
