My second stay, even better than the first
5 / 5 Excellent
Spent nine nights at this spot of tranquility. Walter and his family couldn’t be nicer folks or more gracious hosts. In my years of going down to the gulf I have come to realize there are two different ways you can vacation. One is beachfront with a condo in the rat race of everyone else, which has its place and it’s fun. The other, is to go remote and live the local bay lifestyle. This property encompasses the latter. The weekends are a little busy at the main house, as the Osprey cottage is the guest house, but through the week it is incredibly peaceful and lonesome in the best sort of way. At this oasis you are able to bring life down out of fifth gear and shift it into third gear. Take your time when you’re here, don’t get in a hurry for anything. Be sure to check out Pirates Cove and have one of the best cheeseburgers you’ll find anywhere. You can put your toes in the sand drink a cold beer or Bushwacker, or both, and enjoy an awesome cheeseburger looking out at the bay. It’s only 15 minutes from the property. Trust me, when you stay you will become a regular fixture down there. I can’t say enough good things about these folks or this property. First class all the way. Thanks for letting us stay yet again. Cheers!
