“This was our second visit to the Savoy Palace and we weren’t disappointed. The room was spotless and the daily cleaning service was very good; in addition, the turn down service was equally good. We ate at 4 of the restaurants at the hotel, each of which had a different style and feel, but the food and staff were excellent in all of them. The highlight was the Galaxy restaurant on the 16th floor. It deserves a Michelin star. We will visit the Savoy Palace again.”

“We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. We used the bar a couple of times, loving the idea that we got to choose our "Happy Hour", we also……

“The hotel is located near the coast and near a majority of attractions in Funchal. Our stay here was nice and comfortable with no real highlights or lowlights to speak of, and that is a compliment, we admired the cozy painless experience. The outdoor pool was absolutely freezing with the outdoor temperature being 20 degrees, though that was more due to the breeze. The rooftop bar is quite nice and cozy to chill at after a day out in the city !”

“Loved the outdoor pool and breakfast was decent. Rooms are a bit dated and not as nice as I expected for the price but the location was close to the water and close to a ton of restaurants and nightlife.”

“The room we were allocated was spacious (living room with well equipped kitchen unit, bedroom, bath and terrace). All well furnished and equipped. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast and dinner were good. The grounds surrounding are mature and beautifully kept. The swimming pools and bars are very relaxing. Indoor pool and gym also. Musical entertainment every evening in a relaxed setting with the bar.”

“The hotel placed very close to marina and to center of the city, 5-10 min to most useful poi. Good, clean room, staff very helpful. The breakfast is good, typical I would say for this grade of hotel. Highly recommended.”
